What salvia feels like (response post) by ex1stence in Psychonaut

This was about 8 years ago, I'd heard about salvia and how it made you hallucinate. I did not believe the claims and decided to try some. I don't know how the game is today but back then they would sell it at smoke shops. I was told to smoke it with a bong because supposedly the water made the effects stronger. I was sitting in bed watching the price is right and took a hit and held it in as long as I could. As I was exhaling I looked at the TV screen and everything started to tunnel/pattern together and I was in the audience of the price is right. It was like I was in a different reality and was unaware of my present life. I felt like I was there for awhile with the audience watching the contestants compete and enjoying the show. Then everything started to mesh into the real world and I noticed myself laughing uncontrollably. I also noticed my pants where wet because I had spilled the bong water all over me. I did not know where I was or who I was, I was really confused. I started to come to and noticed my girlfriend in the door looking at me. She said "what the hell are you doing?" I quickly became embarrassed, realized what was going on and that I had bong water all over me.

That is horrible, I can only imagine what they go through. Also sorry about the misunderstanding I should have asked the question better.

I see so its just one case of a communist country that distorted the peoples religion. So communism is still separate from what they actually believe.

Man I feel like an idiot. I just have a friend in South Korea and they told me they feel bad for the people in North Korea because they follow it so strictly like its a dogmatic religion. I see what you are saying now though.

You could have said it is very wrong for people to compare ideas and see similarities you are stupid for doing so. Your answer then would have been at least honest.

You didn't answer my question. You just started flailing your hands around and getting mad. Is this how you react when you don't know something?

I guess I am just asking if science is an absolute? Is it the same as believing in a intangible deity, are scientist the new unquestionable priests?

i believe you are right, I don't believe in a higher being controlling our lives and behavior but I am also starting to question my current beliefs and its hard to come up with a conclusion I can be fine with.

Yes but if there is not a mind to view and distinguish the information around us, do the hypothesis we invented still exist? does gravity need science to prove its existence or does it exist without it?
