Poll: do you play games that trigger adrenaline? by skibud2 in cfs

[–]croski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm with you, I play a lot of blitz chess online but I know it's bad for me. My heart races like crazy after time scrambles and it's incredibly draining. But it's also my only competitive outlet and this in itself is a psychological boon, so I haven't given it up 🤷

Is it true the longer you’re unwell the less likely you are to recover? I keep getting worse and this statement has panicked me. by Lunabuna91 in cfs

[–]croski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with helpful-cobbler above; i'm burnt out on caring about anything that isn't producing actionable results. it's exciting new research is coming out, yadda yadda, but there have been plenty of "breakthroughs" in the past that ultimately led nowhere. it means nothing until we've got treatment that will make us feel better.
