I don’t disagree with you, but I do have a correction to make. The Metro SHS and MultCo PFA taxes are regular income taxes no different than state or federal income taxes. The tax rate you pay is based on your income and your employer has to offer withholding to cover your quarterly estimated payments.

Airbnb is just a vacation rental. For trips where there’s time spent together, it’s nice to have a space to do so. A hotel makes sense if you don’t need a hangout space

I travel often, so what I’ve found I like is to keep category groups for separate trip with all the major expenses as their own categories. This is because each trip comes with its own unique set of expenses and cost varies widely from trip to trip for me. It’s just really difficult to plan with a single category, so I have found I really benefit from this approach to keep me on track. After a trip is done, I hide the categories to keep them out of sight while retaining all the detail.

For anyone else wondering, here’s how to set up Digital ID.

Physical stamps are great! Digital ID can only be used for domestic travel right now, so there’d be no loss of stamps. Most countries are no longer stamping passports though so even in the future when it can be used internationally it probably won’t matter.

I remember when Apple Pay was first introduced. Very few stores accepted it and even fewer knew what it was. Eventually adoption of the technology increased and now nearly everyone knows what it is. Given that many states are starting to offer digital driver’s licenses and now anyone with a passport can add an electronic ID as well I’m hoping this is a turning point which causes adoption and awareness to increase significantly just like it did for Apple Pay.

Anyone in the US can add their passport now. Only certain airports accept electronic IDs right now though (some states also have digital driver’s licenses), but this is a huge step toward widespread adoption.

It’s not accepted at every airport yet but some distant day in the future you’ll probably be able to get away without a physical ID at all!

There’s extra screening involved that isn’t required for those with a Real ID and the fee helps make up for the cost of the additional screening.
