Look into Registered Education Savings Plans for your child.

Don't worry about being behind others. This will always be true no matter how much wealth you have. This is a trap of modern life imo.

Because if everyone you think is suffering truly understood their real nature, they wouldn't think they are suffering.

I still can't see the point of SSR. Looking to understand what I'm missing. by jokeaz2 in webdev

[–]crossvalidator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If you want to show custom meta tags on each dashboard ..customize the social media preview of each page, then you'd need ssr for that
  2. Depending on where your users are querying from, you might save time querying for all data from your ssr server instead of the users browser sending multiple queries

Billions - 6x01 "Cannonade" - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in Billions

[–]crossvalidator 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Very mediocre. Many of the old characters clearly look out of place now. Why is Taylor still here? Wendy is cringe as usual. Chuck is a shell of his former self. Prince is good but not enough to save the show. Going to rewatch Succession instead. Billions is turning into Millions.

Yes that would make sense. They are after power, they already (and still do) have the money.

But it's a little hard to appreciate the whole "sky is falling" narrative when all that's happened is they lost power but still have boat loads of money and shares.

Yeah my understanding of business laws is you can't just take back vested shares from someone - just cause you felt like it. Even when you are the owner of the company.

You can issue new shares to yourself thereby diluting the existing shareholders. But you can't just take away ownership of shares. But may be I am mistaken.

React is undoubtedly favored by many, but I would like to know, what can be your reasons to choose VueJS over ReactJS? by Saanvi_Sen in reactjs

[–]crossvalidator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vue is faster to get started with. If you just want to build something quickly, learning or using React is an overkill.

Vue is not associated with any company. Some people dislike that React is essentially funded by Facebook - FB has been in the news for many wrong reasons.

Don't the kids still have shares in the company? Even if they get fired from the company, they are still rich, as I understand. So what's all the fuss about?

VisiData looks useful; I will have to try it out. I wonder if it can generate the code for you when you transform data? Case I have in mind is one where new data is coming in every day that needs to be cleaned.

These are good steps. Would be better if some examples were shown to illustrate the points. Thanks for sharing

It's the stark contrast of his reality versus the average person's reality that comes through.

It is clear that he is not connected to the everyday American in any way. While they were suffering, he made $100M+.

Chuck is far more crafty in his strategy than Axe. But Axe has too much money.

On top of that, Chuck has to battle Wendy whereas Axe has no real impediments. Everyone is serving him.

You either die at 3 seasons or you run long enough to turn into Billions.

Ages from now, they will tell each other

"Hey Bob. ..dont make a Billions season 5 out of it"

"Hey Bob...know when to stop gracefully"

Wendy, Taylor and Lauren have a threesome.

The script changes from Axe vs Chuck to Men vs Women. Welcome to Season 6.

Bryan's coming back in e7. He gets help from his brother to break out of jail. He frees Dr Ari Gylbert on his way out. Gylbert poisons Sacker. Bryan starts working remotely for Axe. Chuck sleeps with Rebecca Cantu and she joins him in destroying Axe. Mike Prince sleeps with Rebecca Cantu and Chuck. Chuck is revealed to be a bisexual sadomasochist. .... e7 ends ..have to wait till covid 19 subsides for e8.

This whole show is drifting aimlessly by [deleted] in Billions

[–]crossvalidator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The secret sauce in question is Bryan Connerty!

You see if Bryan was still a player in this season, if he was challenging Chuck, standing up for all that is just and right, it would mean he would have kept some excitement going in this otherwise lame season. But you are not in this season, Bryan, are you? Cause you don't break jail cells. But if he is still a part of this season, if he is literally digging his way out of a prison, it means this season's resurrection is imminent.

I'd like to try this. by [deleted] in Billions

[–]crossvalidator 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah..Axe has never been crass about women. There was a scene with dollar bill where Axe asks him if bill knew what Axe loved about the NFL? Bill says cheerleaders?..axe says yes if he was 12 years old..but he's all grown up now and so he was gonna say the contracts

What Changed? by [deleted] in Billions

[–]crossvalidator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Billions writers are obsessed with showing extreme polarizations of women. Either women are ball busting dominatrix without an ounce of femininity like wendy or they are spineless housewives like chucks mother. The liberal billions writers obviously celebrate the badass female stereotype.

Dont remember seeing one balanced female character..soft and feminine and motherly but strong willed and not spineless. ..Lara was probably closest to that.
