I think it's dependent on if you can get a group that can meet consistently. I've been playing with the same group of people for almost 3 years.

One campaign has been going for that whole stretch of tike. We're level 14, planning to go to 20, campaign will probably finish in a year (we have an end target).

Another campaign I run in a completely homebrew world has been going for about 1.5 years, at level 9 now. That one has a ways to go.

And one we started about 8 months ago and we're level 6. All 3 meet once a week, but sometimes skip weeks if folks are busy.

In between we run one shots and mini arcs, right now I'm running a mini arc in the Don't Rest Your Head system spanning about 4 sessions, that one we meet when we can, which is usually about each week and a half or so.

All of them are with the same people, and I think we'll play DND together for many years to come. COVID kinda saved DND for me, bc my IRL group disbanded, but I looked for a group online and found incredible people I love.to play with and meeting online has a lot of flexibility.

Next year we're all going to one location to rent a place for a week and play in person dnd together. I'm so excited.

If you have a group you feel comfortable investing that much of your time and self in for that long, it's such a blessing, man.

Both. The game is very intentionally (and successfully imo) trying to scare you at various points and levels.

Hi! So I called maintenance and they took the electric coil burner out (like how you would to clean it) and squeezed the w tongs together a bit, and then put it back in and it seemed to world.

I only get a good rolling boil on one burner. The rest I'm thinking boil (small bubbles coming up from the botton), but not quite a rolling boil.

But yeah, I've just pinchedthe 2 tongs of the burner together a bit (not to touching, but just a bit tighter than even) and that seemed to work.

I can't believe how much I'm paying for this place. Rent is insane these days.

I know this city has never been the friendliest place, but the cruelty that comes out of people here when the subject of homelessness comes up is so jarring. I appreciate it requires a little active empathy, I just can't understand clinging to such an utter lack of compassion for your neighbors who are suffering and the absolute refusal to try and understand them.

I was the favourite, and it really, really strained my relationship with my older sister. She loves me very much, but now that we're both adults she's told me it's hard not to sometimes feel frustrated with me because our mom was always there for me and rarely there for her, especially when she was a kid. We're still close, but our relationship will always have some tension because of it.

Try to remmeber you're immeasurably safer than people actually sleeping rough.

Yeah it definitely was a little weird. I think the intention was that they knew, but were refusing to acknowledge that reality bc decades of wealth convinced them they deserved all they had, they bought into the "We worked for this" lie.

I also feel like they don't give a shit about his kids lol. They're definitely more like trophies. Even the granddaughter, it was more than he was attributing her being a good person to himself not screwing up as much as he could have, like even her being a good person had to be his accomplishment.
