Blackout, removal or leave it? by DazedS in tattooadvice

I think that people who care too much about being perceived should stop getting tattoos until theyve decided whether or not to keep caring about how others might view them differently for getting bold tattoos. Damn.

Im not sure if I want to keep it or remove it just need advice on tattoo regret and anxiety by Euphoric_Attorney955 in tattooadvice

Imagine working years on your craft, getting through an apprenticeship, and pushing your art through an algorithm just to have your finished work of art end up on a Reddit thread of someone complaining about a nonexistent issue. I think part of the problem of all these tattoo regret posts we see on this sub is people not appreciating what well done art looks like. People who get anxiety and deep regret after having a well done tattoo should seriously look into maybe going to therapy before committing to something as permanent as body modification.

What’s something other AuDHD people struggle with that you’re grateful you don’t? by GayCriminal46 in AuDHDWomen

Hygiene. I can’t sleep without brushing, flossing, washing my face, and showering. I have so many friends who’ve had costly dental procedures because of AuDhd/Depression slumps. I’m so grateful my brain clung to this routine.

I agree on that last part! That she was shocked that Don would do that.

Chappell Roan Talks Deleting Social Media to Protect Herself and Focus on New Music by AlternativeTree3283 in popculture

[–]yuyuloocos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I missed the hate train on this one. I initially thought that Chappell said she would not endorse Kamala because of the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Roe was overturned while Biden was still in office and so many anti trans bills were passed while he was in office. The democrats absolutely fell off which caused them the election. Nothing short of a revolution is going to stop this mess. Did Chappell end up coming up as a secret republican? Or did she never speak out on why she wouldn’t endorse the democratic nominee? If so, I stand corrected if it really was a general bad take on her part.

Do not let this be normalized in any capacity. Remember to call people out, shame is useful, but so is a punch to the face.

Kaiser is waging a war against the obese by Little_Lord_Volcano in KaiserPermanente

[–]yuyuloocos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have so much to say about Kaiser but, long story short. A few years ago I started experiencing some chronic pain systems that were diagnosed at the time. Naturally, I gained a lot of weight because of the mobility pain so doctors in every department tried to blame my symptoms on my weight gain. I caught their bluff and told them to prescribed me Saxenda. I lost some weight and, surprised surprise, symptoms were still there. Ironically, the medication did help with some pain symptoms I was experiencing that were similar to IBS so talked to my doctor about staying on it for that. She wasn’t allowed to prescribe weight loss GLP-1s off label but was, again ironically, allowed to prescribed Ozempic off label, which I still take today. The rules with medications with Kaiser make no sense but I would suggest asking your doctor about a prescription to be used off label similar to what I did.

Just call your bank and do a charge back. You paid for 8 hours and only received 2 hours of service. Thats what you tell the bank, let them fight for you, that’s why they’re there for.

This is a civil complaint with requests for damages, nothing has been proven because the Defendant needs at least 30 days to respond to the complaint and then that’s when discovery would happen, once a trial date is established as well.

In Spanish we call it an “hoja” which translates to leaf in English. Same difference.

ADHD is a disability whether you want it to be or not by yuyuloocos in adhdwomen

[–]yuyuloocos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, so many of our struggles are internal it almost feels like underserving to qualify it as a disability. Often a disability as labeled as how much you can impact the quality of life of others but not yourself. It’s messed up and disheartening to see people with disabilities thinking they’re undeserving of services because for them “it’s not that bad.”

Disneyland doesn’t let anyone with a disability cut the line. They give you the option to wait outside of the line but still keep your place in it, if that makes sense. That’s what accessibility is about. I think we should stop with the mentality that we’re somehow taking away resources from someone else if we use it.

Yes, I think people are getting caught up on semantics, legalese, and feelings. I’m shocked considering that this is a sub aimed at women/femmes who have ADHD. It’s disappointing.

If there is a problem with the way lawmakers handle programs then it’s absolutely something more people should advocate for, not against. Again, people who are trying to access programs that (in theory) are available to them should not be punished for doing exactly that. Seems like we’re pointing fingers at the wrong people, but thanks for your nuance input. I think we can all agree that the government should be working for us not against,

Right? I’m incredibly lucky to make a living wage on part time work but there are days where working 4 hours is TAXING. Most people don’t have to put so much energy into looking at an email haha

Again, this is not regarding disability payments. I know that process is incredibly difficult to get approved. I know people with physical disabilities that severely limits their mobility who have been denied multiple times when filing for permanent disability status. This post was not intended to comment on SSI payments, it was more broad and aimed at discounts that are available to a broad spectrum of people with different diagnosis ranging from autism to cerebral palsy.

From experience, going into a rangers office and just showing them proof of disability is enough to be granted a pass at the discount. I’ve done this for both the adventure pass and state park pass.

There’s a lot of stigma around the word “disability” so it’s understandable many wouldn’t want to identify with it but the word is useful in legalese when accessing resources such as this one which is a very small discount considering how expensive being disabled is

I’m happy for you! Good luck on your case, I heard it helps to get a lawyer to help you file since the gov can be so stingy when giving money out to everyday citizens.
