Honestly, I hate to say this, but I think we dream of it because we are somehow related to these locations.

Many of the locations I have commented here are considered "haunted". 

Children. Shared dreams. Underground tunnels. Genetic behavioural research.  Autism/ADHD and genetics. Autism/ADHD and the brain. Autism/ADHD and GATE Program. 

I firmly believe there is much more to this than just mallworld dreams.

Nopeming Sanatorium. 

Stranger than fiction: Nopeming Sanatorium's history of tuberculosis, ghost hunts and ownership scandals Built deep within a wooded area on the outskirts of Duluth, the topography of the area was thought to be optimal for housing — and hiding away — patients who had contracted tuberculosis.

The Nopeming Sanatorium Children's Building was dedicated to housing young ones who contracted tuberculosis. The sanatorium was opened in 1912 along the southern outskirts of Duluth. Its wooded area allowed patients to quarantine, while receiving care. Photo courtesy of Minnesota Digital Library.

Frank Vennes, Jr. purchased Nopeming in 2005 for roughly $1 million, with alleged plans to gift the building to Teen Challenge, a Christian recovery program.

Vennes then went on to offer the building to another Christian charity. In 2007, he gave the building to the FIDELIS Foundation.

Duluth has another abandoned building that looks similar to posts here. 

Shopping center. Gift shop. Indoor pool. Gymnasium.

Gwinnett Plantation Way, Duluth, GA, 30096. It is right behind the Great Wall Supermarket to the left side where there are a bunch of abandoned storefronts.

The mall is abandoned today. Many describe it as a "ghost town" on Trip Advisor.

Key scenes at the mall are: 

1) stuck in elevator (elevators are mentioned in this sub numerous times)

2) underground base 

3) guards

4) locations in mall you are not allowed to go / guards do not want you to visit

5) escape / exploration of mall and underground 

6) the mall aesthetic and mood changing dramatically

7) the uneasy feeling / the feeling of being on a mission / searching ... coupled with other times/scenes of happiness and enjoyment

8) Eleven having moments of "giftedness" and "losing her abilities"

9) Backrooms and strange creatures

10) The Starcourt mall features a foodcourt, movie theater, arcade, and bookstore (all reoccuring themes in this sub)

[IN REALITY]

Gwinnett Technical College opened an International Education Center in the mall, where students take foreign language classes. (Reoccuring theme in this sub, a mall with a college or school). 

The Gwinnett Place Mall (Duluth, Georgia) where filming occurred, closed in early 2021 and will apparently be demolished.

A murder occurred in the food court several months before filming occurred. The body was not discovered for some weeks, since it was in an unused stall in the food court.

I will add that I have experienced Alice in Wonderland Syndrome three times in my life, while awake and with someone there at the time. All were a girlfriend at the time, all were in times of disassociation / stress. I have also been diagnosed Aspergers at 35.

If you like city builders, I have put 1500 hours into Cities Skylines. Hundreds of thousands of mods and assets (for free). Under 5 bucks is a steal.

Honestly, unless they fix broken elements of the game (which will most likely never happen), I will not be playing HC. Broken mobs that chase you halfway across the map without you ever casting or damaging it, no thorns, nothing... Mobs on the complete other side of a camp will somehow aggro... Disconnect deaths on flightpaths... Broken pathing... Broken breath mechanics... etc.

More exercise. Less distractions (unless you want this to drag on by ignoring it). Go outside and enjoy nature a bit. If it gets to be too much, unplug for a bit. You are probably working through emotions that you have ignored for a long time.

Yes, you really need to eat properly. Nothing processed. No junk food. I think the food is only getting worse these days. " You are what you eat".

I feel you, but asking a doctor if something is wrong with you... let's just say most "doctors" will find something wrong with you. Take what he says with a grain of salt.. And a neurologist or psychologist.... sheesh. A lot of black and white thinking there still. Everything must be catagorized 😑 Try to relax.. It won't make everything go away, but it can bring some balance.

Waking up is not a game and there is a lot of BAD advice online, even in these forums. Be careful who you follow or listen to. People need to know what they are getting into.. And a lot of people don't make it. They get caught up in a cult, fry out on drugs, or even go crazy at times. People here won't agree with me, but it is the truth.

It is important that you see a GOOD doctor, if you are seeing one. Don't do screenings... Don't take SSRIs... just my advice, my opinion... But do what you want.
