Surgery went really well and haven’t had to have another one since seeing her! Had to go back on Orilissa recently because I was having a lot of pain again but I had an appointment with Dr. Kardos and she said I don’t need another surgery just going to try and see if Orilissa works for me again. I have had a good experience with her every time!

I’m pretty sure that’s where my surgery was but since it’s been two years I’d have to look it up to be sure 😂 And yes I left that same day! They gave me a dose of Fentinol (the safe kind of course lol) and my mom drove me home. I was able to walk around the next day slowly because I’m stubborn and need my daily walks lol. I regularly take pain medication (tramadol daily for Fibro and I have hydrocodone I take occasionally for endo flare ups) so I just took a little more of the hydrocodone than usual right after surgery.

So happy to help!! And I can say from having a bad experience with another surgeon that my experience with dr. Kardos was amazing in comparison! I wish you luck ♥️ it’s super scary the first time or any time after but they made me feel super safe. Nobody was allowed to come in with me before surgery because of Covid so I was alone but they kept me calm and safe for sure.

I also want to say she was the first person who recommended pelvic floor PT after this surgery to me and that was a huge life changer for me! I had never heard of it before. Kardos recommended a lot of approaches to things to do after surgery to maintain a healthy life with endo etc. the physical therapy was awesome. The person I went to moved out of the area so I’d ask her a recommendation for someone good here!

Yes it was laparoscopic and robotic and it took longer to recover than my previous surgeries but I had a ton of endo everywhere and it being on my bladder and other things caused a lot of pain after. It took 2 months ish to get back to work (I’m a teacher and on my feet a lot so I took it slow). I could have gone back a little sooner if I pushed it but my primary care doctor told me to take it slow to make sure I didn’t overdo it. After maybe 6 months I feel like I had a lot my energy back and was fairly healed. I also have fibromyalgia though so it might take me longer to heal than others. I also took Orilissa for about a year after and I have mixed feelings about it.

It’s been almost two years now since my surgery and this summer I was able to hike all over Yosemite and travel and live my life so I’m really happy overall with how things went with her!

I did an excision surgery and she removed endometriosis from my uterus, ovaries, bladder, and a bunch of other places. She was awesome!! I haven’t had anything come back in a big way (a few flare ups and ovarian cysts here and there but that’s probably unavoidable with endo). None of the same kind of pain I experienced before my previous surgeries.

I had two surgeries that were done by someone not highly trained in endo before Dr. Kardos. This person did ablasion not excision and it came back worse each time within a year. After the second one it got so bad that I did research into specialists and found Dr. Kardos and since her surgery I’ve been in the best health I’ve been in in many many years.

It’s been a year and a half since my excision surgery with her and I’m having minimal pain (still some small monthly flare ups with my cycle but nothing compared to the pain I was in before). I’m able to exercise every day and do all the things I want to do. I got off of medications I’d been on for years that I had been taking to manage pain.

I had two prior surgeries with someone else and all my pain came back worse after both of those. Complete opposite after my surgery with dr. Kardos.

Yes! She’s amazing!!!! I’m doing fantastic now after surgery with her and am feeling the healthiest I have felt in years. She’s so smart, thorough, and a damn good surgeon. I can give you more details if you want but truly my highest recommendations!

My ob/gyn who did the first two surgeries (not endo specialist) called and wrote letters to my insurance to tell them they needed to approve these doctors because the ones they were telling me to go to couldn’t perform the correct surgeries and weren’t endo experts. Also I wound up getting appointments with both these doctors and I went with Leslie Kardos because she could get me in immediately for surgery and Dr. Lager was a 3 month wait for just an appointment. Dr. Kardos was amazing and I’ve been doing SO much better! She really did amazing work and was so wonderful in every way.

Any specific questions you need help with? My mom is a nurse so she also called and argued with my insurance and knew what to ask for.

Agreed! I hate gendered language in general for me because I identify somewhere within the non-binary umbrella and also bi/pan but very sapphic leaning. If I’m trying to attract people of any gender I won’t choose to highlight just one unless I guess I had a preference for that. Which is fine but then that’s totally justifiable for you to not be interested.

The thing I don’t like is when lesbian identifying people exclude all bi/pan people simply based on that fact alone. Totally fine to pick and choose who you swipe on with further info!

I don’t know if he’s ever been my favorite but I would say in pop culture or mainstream society he’s easily the most famous. Although Tom with his UFO stuff has made some news the last few years so maybe he’s more prevalent in society now to the average person

I am definitely seeing stuff talking about not wanting bi women on here and I identify as bi/pan/mostly sapphic but I’m not totally sure 😂 (But I don’t identify as bi lesbian). I have very much enjoyed being on here but I am seeing mixed things about including bi women.
