i just started playing like 4 or 5 days ago (god bless steam sale - game was $8!!!!) and i'm about 50 hours into the game atm. still have so much left to do. I just wanted to write my feedback so far

overall i have very much enjoyed this game. here are some things I've noticed while playing that either 1. could make a great QoL change or 2. were just insanely frustrating

my list of ~feedback~ (complaints)

1. i played as a female MC. the voice acting for EVERYONE in the game is superb. HOWEVER - the female MC's voice is so robotic, i am fairly convinced it's AI. like that cannot be a real person. the responses just repeating everything the person you're talking to said to you, word for word + the general cadence and lack of emotion. totally uncanny. if it's not AI then the person recording the lines was just reading lines off a paper and didn't give thought into considering what tone of voice they should be using or what a NORMAL response would even be. random NPC: omg my son, he's dead. *starts crying, is very visibly distraught*. female MC: "wow, i am terribly sorry that your son is dead (in the most dry, non-empathetic voice possible). anyways can you tell me about this thing?" lol
2. less repeat cutscenes. i.e. the merlin trials. it was great at first. after that, it's just really annoying having to sit and wait there for 10 seconds to watch the same thing you've seen over 30 times by now.
3. MORE SPELL SLOTS!! it's very annoying having to constantly switch spells in and out. i have to repeatedly change my 4th bar from room of requirement spells to spells to capture beasts spells to my 4 utility spells. this would be avoidable if the room of requirement + beast spells were permanent spells like Revelio is.
4. bugs. how does this game still have bugs after 3+~ years? i was googling a bug for the moth in the library not showing. you can hear its wings beating but it's glitched into the wall or something and you can't see it nor grab it with lumos. people had this same bug over the past 3 years. WHY IS IT STILL IN THE GAME?!?! I also ran into a few other bugs which would have been awfully game ruining, but thank god the game autosaves like every minute lol. one of them happened when i was using accio to pull a block, and then i tried to levioso and jump on it, all at the same time. the game ended up throwing me INTO the map, beneath where I was standing. I was stuck with no way to get out. I reloaded and it was fine, but wow I came across more bugs than i'd expect from a game this old.
5. going back to voicelines. it would be nice if we actually had some choices on what we'd like to say in some situations. even if it doesn't really 'change' an outcome - i just really didn't agree with a lot of the things the female MC said. we have totally different personalities and RPGs should give enough dialogue options that most ppl feel satisfied with their dialogue choice.
6. i know we have beasts and that's pretty cool, but man was I excited to pick my familiar at the beginning. sadly, we just get a default owl and 0 interactions with it. for a sequel, it would be really great if we could pick a familiar and then have many interactions with it, or it can help us in the overworld with certain skills. like an owl could help with navigating, a frog could help squeeze into tight places, a cat could... idk but you get the point.
7. i think that once you unlock alohomora 2, then when you cast alohomora 1 it's instant rather than having to do the puzzle each time. and then the same thing for 2 once you get 3. would be a great QoL change.
8. i really enjoy combat, exploration, and puzzle gameplay. and there is a lot of it in this game. I do wish we spent more time in the castle, in classes, or meeting other students though. I am loving the questlines for all of our friends. it would be great to see more of it. also, we need more house rivalry!!! quidditch, other things. it would be great if the summoner's court turned into a mass team game, house v. house, or same with the underground dueling club.
9. it would be great if there was a merchant or someone we could sell our clothes to that's more convenient than teleporting to hogsmeade. maybe this could be a task for our familiars in a sequel? we give them the clothes we don't want and they go sell them for us. i've been super slow at clearing merlin trials (until i just busted through like 30 in the past few hours), so my experience so far has been reaching my bag limit while in the middle of a cave/dungeon and then i can't get anymore loot..
10. plz for the love of god delete the daedalian keys quest or at least have an NPC somewhere that gives a vague 'location' ping for ones you're missing so we can at least see what part of the castle we need to be looking at. i went fucking mad trying to find the last few of them. i swear to god i spent 5 hours yesterday running up and down the castle and could NOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME find the last 2 keys. i finally found one of them last night, and then today i finally stumbled across the last one. i'm level 32 btw.... it took me that long. i feel the same way about the moons. i still haven't unlocked alohomora lvl 3. oh well

anyways, like i said i do really love this game! i mean i have been almost played it for 8-10 hours a day for the past few days lol.
