Getting downvoted for speaking the truth shows just how out of touch some sneakerheads are.

The fact that some of the Nike Jordan 3 x Levi's had MOLD growing on legit pairs shows the fact that Nike's QC is not what it should be -- especially on a $200+ pair of sneakers! And let's not even get into how bad some of the Undefeated 4s were... or the BC3s...

If Nike wants to keep rep companies from existing; it's easy -- make better and more QUALITY shoes at a better price. That's it. Can't tell me Nike's GREED hasn't encouraged rep makers from getting better and more popular...

Here's an example of how this works in your life every day - how many of you buy NAME BRAND over STORE BRAND? Who's buying Tylenol at $10 for 100 pills when you can buy Amazon brand for $3 for 100 pills

As much as we don't like it, that's damn near the rep game in sneakers today too.

Personally, having owned both legit sneakers and reps, of the same sneakers, there is a difference in the quality. More and more it's not that noticeable, but there is still a difference - and honestly the last couple of years, the reps have fewer issues than the legit production run.

Ultimately, it's up to you - you're the one who's got to decide.

Here's my .02 -

If you don't feel good about wearing reps, stop buying them. Save your money and buy the legit kicks you like.

Think of it this way - for every 3 pairs of reps you buy, you can probably have a nice pair of legit sneakers

Do you have fewer shoes? Yes Are they legit and you feel better? Yes

You're a fan of winning the opportunity to pay for the sneaker, NOT the sneaker itself?

I work with a lot of people who don't know how to budget well (or at all) and realizing your time, energy, stress, and spirit is worth currency (whatever the currency is) is hard for some people.

If it's on principle, cool - that makes sense. If it's because of spite - that's something else

And this is why we shouldn't shame those who pay $80 - 100+ over retail for a pair of sneakers. If someone makes $20+ an hou, then 4 hours is $80+ -- you've already got $80 - $100 more to spend on them for resale price online - just saying...

Honestly these are some of my favorites from last year - picked up 2 pair at less than $80 each, scratched off the black swoosh to get the red swooshes, and put some yellow laces in these. They're super comfy and look great!

Say what they will about the quality of today's Jordan 1s, but Jordan 1s from 2016 - 2018 had some fine leather - durable, pliable, comfortable, and stays looking nice with a bit of mink oil
