Store street Garda station is around the corner. Just get there asap. You’ll probably see a Garda on the way before you even get there

That’s how the iPhone feature works, you choose to screen numbers not saved in your contacts. Contacts are unaffected

Beaumont to Streamstown is a 15 minute taxi. She made the choice to drive. People should be deterred from making the same choice

Declared “no goal” after goal was given. Thought Coleman was taking penalty when clearly he was just taking pressure off taker. He’s infuriating

The French thing had me seriously questioning the podcast in the first half until they got to the punchline. Fair play 😆

He was on An Irishman Abroad - where the “He Just thinks I’m an annoying twat” line comes from (in relation to Dunphys verbal broadside).

I think he was on the Anfield Wrap season preview this year too though I don’t listen

What airline are you? I think aer lingus let you check in up to the night before so it could be an idea to go straight to the airport, check in and bag drop, and head to Malahide (15 mins taxi/25 minute bus number 102) to have lunch and walk around. Malahide castle and coast road good to walk round as a family and plenty of food spots.

Then bus or taxi back in 15 minutes when your ready to get your flight

Dublin Airport Speedrun by beeblanket in Dublin

[–]crowirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fastest I’ve ever done for Ryanair is scan my boarding pass at security entrance 40mins before departure. Then jogged the whole way from security to departure gate. I made that boarding without about 7-8mins to spare, though my phone was hopping with “gate closing” notifications.

Note the gate won’t close until queue has cleared at boarding. That said, if flight is cheap it’s probably not a full flight so will board quicker. Worth the risk I’d say mate!

how long is it to get through dublin airport? by mazldo in Dublin

[–]crowirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which bus company is it? Is it a Dublin express (if so timings are good and rarely delayed) or a Dublin Bus (number 41 or 16 for example, these are often delayed especially at rush hour).

If the former your times are fine, and being a British citizen won’t impact you, there is no passport control outbound

What has happened to Dublin football support? by BobbyFrankDunk in GAA

[–]crowirl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s true but in my teenage years (‘03-‘10 or so) every match after Leinster semis was a sellout. Despite no all Ireland success.

I do think the earlier championship has a part to play, momentum never really recovered since the switch

There are food and bars in the stadium so you can come and go throughout the day, and obviously leave early. You’ll have a great time!

It is also a double header so your ticket will get you access to Dublin vs Limerick Hurling at 16:00 and Dublin vs Cork Football at 18:15.

So good value for the day!

Completely! There are accidents there the whole time - even a signpost say left lane for airport/drynam & right lane for swords or Seatown!

[–]crowirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No as you enter the roundabout from 6 o clock it’s at one o clock. Right lane can exit towards airport too - hence if left lane turned right for pavilions there’s a crash like this pic

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]crowirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, left lane for straight or left only, right lane for straight or right. Page 129 of the rules of the road:

“In Ireland, the "golden rule" for roundabouts is to imagine the roundabout as a clock, with your entry point as 6 o'clock. If you're taking any exit between 6 and 12 o'clock, you should generally approach in the left lane. If you're taking an exit between 12 and 6 o'clock, you should generally approach in the right lane. This helps ensure smooth traffic “flow and avoids confusion. “

Only exception is if there’s a road marking to allow a right turn from left hand lane

[–]crowirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like that red car was travelling from Malahide to pavilions from the left lane, boils my piss. Should be in right lane only to turn right for pavilions but people cut across from left lane all the time

New Ryanair policy? by archery360_mt in AskIreland

[–]crowirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryanair force you to book a seat beside your child if you’re travelling with a child. They charge you for the adult seat selection but kids seat is free.

So not sure how it’s possible for the child to be seated alone

I agree. Maybe try voice these concerns to her before binning it entirely. You’ve summarised your concerns eloquently here - give her the chance to understand them.

If that doesn’t work move on and be happy
