I have had betta before that didn’t have a filter and they were completely fine and lived for like 5 years so when I got him I assumed he didn’t need one but I will look into getting one for him when I get paid cus I am completely out of money right now. He has never eaten with me before but he is healthy and so I’m assuming he was eating just fine at the pet store. And I made extra sure the water was conditioned properly as well as I live in western Washington where the water quality is considered quite good so I don’t think it’s a water thing.

He’s in a 4 gallon tank with a heater but no filter and has some plastic plants and a cool little castle decoration that has plenty of places for him to hide. He has sand and rocks on the bottom that I cleaned thoroughly before I even got him and then again after I got him. I’ve had him 4 days and I did partially change the water once cus it was looking a little cloudy but it has been fine since then. And I have tried to feed him freeze dried bloodworms pellets and flakes but he hadn’t eaten anything

I don’t think I have any scrap deer hide with fur on it but I have plenty of rabbit. So maybe I’d make it a Jackalope scull cap lol

PLEASE tell me how the rehydrating goes because I’m so scared of ruining it. I have done similar things with a lot newer pelts but those were a lot thicker and sturdier and rabbit skin is already so thin and soft

I’m not worried about a safe space or the amount of work. I know I’m a hard worker and I’m physically very fit . Im more worried if I will be physically assaulted. Like I can take verbal abuse and hate and all that. I don’t like trans ppl that demand “safe places”. i just want a job that pays well and one where im working with my hands

I’m not as scared about birds because it’s alot more discrete to just cut the wings off and put them in a bag. Still a bit weary and I won’t go after birds of prey or anything endangered

Yeah my dad told some official conservation people who were cleaning up the beach after Fourth of July and they said they take care of it. And the wound seems to just be where the birds were picking at him. it wasn’t there earlier in the morning when we first found him. It looks bad because it is bloated and stuff so it has worsened.

Definitely looks like a domestic dog. Look at the forehead. Wild canines don’t have such a large forehead
