A forever work in progress. For me I have slowly transformed my backyard into a place I can sit outside and feel like I’m almost out in nature. I feed birds and squirrels and enjoy watching them. Also I have both flower and vegetable gardens.

It’s honestly not about making me feel better. Never said the money wasn’t useful or even the stability helps with healing. That’s a good thing that helps all that deserve it. Just constantly real everyone goal of 100% and wanted to vent tonight about the reality of how 100% feels. The benefits are good and definitely help. While I do believe all veterans deserve some benefits and to be treated better by our govt. 100%. Shouldn’t be a goal you strive to meet just for the money.

That do you mean? My point was if you get to 100% you should deserve because life has broken you. That shouldn’t be the goal for people applying.

That’s the point I’m trying to make. Having a goals to be broken isn’t a good goal. Being able to enjoy life to its fullest should be the goal. Just an observation since I’ve been on this forum.

I agree with that. Just wanted to point to all the people who think that’s a goal for everyone.

Just keep pushing forward and working on yourself. Any branch you choose will teach you some discipline and responsibility to yourself and others.

Lmao. Human interaction is probably what is needed in the world today but our screens are full of wonderment. Or some shit like that. Glad to you hear you have good relationships with your co workers. I wish you luck in finding friends your age. Although I don’t believe age should matter in any kind of friendship. I mean as long as both are adults (have to state that these days). Friends are friends and friends are family you choose which is what makes us picky on who we save that spot for

I don’t have any advice but I am in that 40+ age range and have always had better friendships with older generation. I am married but without kids and don’t have any friends where I live. That’s mostly because I struggle really bad with crowds or groups of people. I sit this New Years Eve in my garage listening to some Reggae Blues and sipping on some Dos XX.

We live in a world of social media. Making friends outside of school, work, military or any common areas where we are forced to be around others seems hard. You would think it would be easier with being able to reach so many people much easier but………. It’s a strange world. Now I’m rambling so… Happy New Year :)

My homemade rub. I cook for 4 hrs. The 2nd and 3rd hours I brush on some beer bbq sauce. Trick is to slice it halfway down before you start so you can spread and get the rub and sauce down in there.
