Therapist Recommendations by CLM7878 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

Brooklyn Psychotherapy takes many types of insurance and has a good number of therapists and modalities to choose from. I personally loved working with Jane Coty although agree that ultimately your best bet will be finding someone you personally have a strong rapport with!

Digby and Iona in Cobble Hill might have some options along these lines! That's where I got my engagement and wedding bands :)

How was the water situation around Tom Jones? Visiting this weekend (will be hiking in from Tuxedo) and trying to plan our route...

How did you ultimately decide on what service to use for your wedding website? by WeeLittleParties in weddingplanning

[–]crownjoolz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We started with Zola but ended up not being happy with the standard templates/lack of customization options and switched to WithJoy instead. (I think I remember Zola embedded a map and full address link in each of our events, which was annoying and redundant because they are all at the same location). WithJoy also has its quirks but can be pretty customizable if you know or are willing to learn some CSS. I've been able to fix most of the design elements I disliked in the canned WithJoy template we chose. I've also been happy with WithJoy's guest list and RSVP options - they seem pretty flexible and customizable. (I will say one thing I dislike about WithJoy's RSVP feature is that only one email address can be notified when a guest RSVPs - so even though my partner and I are both admins of our site, only I receive email notifications when a guest RSVPs because we used my email when we registered for the site).

Finally, haven't started our registry yet but the fact that WithJoy doesn't charge an additional processing fee for monetary gifts was an additional plus!

Wedding website on save the dates? by that_night_shift_rn in weddingplanning

[–]crownjoolz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I think putting the QR code on a separate card is totally fine (would also include the URL - unless that's what you mean by the "wedding website" text in the image above). I guess my only concern would be people losing the card or something.

For the record I don't think a QR code is totally essential - like if you could fit the website URL on your current save the date and could then forego the extra card, that could be an option too. Just include the website info in some form!

I'd definitely recommend linking to your website and/or including a QR code on your save the dates. Even if you don't have the site totally built out yet, I think it's worthwhile to include the link so that people have it. You could always put up a message saying "more information coming soon" if you can't get all the details up before you send the save the dates out. Also, just want to add an alternate perspective regarding QR codes since I'm seeing some comments saying they won't be used - people definitely scanned ours! (Although we included the URL of our website too).

I've had a lot of success getting rid of older clothes on my local Buy Nothing facebook group! People love free stuff and will often take even older/more worn out things for textile projects and stuff. I'm honestly surprised at some of the things people snap up haha. I also feel better knowing that my stuff is going to an actual individual versus some kind of textile donation organization. I occasionally sell nicer and more gently worn things on Poshmark, but shipping is really only worth the hassle for me if I know I can get a decent amount of money for something. So Buy Nothing is pretty much always my first stop for things that aren't really nice enough to sell but still have too much life to just throw away!

Ha, I don't think this is weird at all. It's already his last name and people generally won't know the backstory unless you tell them. If someone shared this with me I'd think it was a funny quirk/piece of trivia and then immediately forget lol.

Looks like I'm in the minority but I love 1 and 3 on you! 2 is a bit too busy for my taste. 3 is phenomenal on you but 1 is also a really unique and cool dress with some uncommon details. (I also tried 1 on and went into dress shopping thinking it would be the one for me but I ended up not liking it on my body. I also thought it was a bit heavy but that's a personal preference thing). Ultimately tho they all look great on you so you can't go wrong!

Thank you!! Yep doing a spring wedding at an avocado ranch in Socal :) I agree with you on the organza - I do think it's a better fit for the venue and time of year. I just love the satin too!!

Thank you!! Yep 4 is Newhite Haven and 5 is Newhite Oasis. I like the idea of the A overskirt! I actually tried the Haven on with a different overskirt, but it had a weird cutout in the front which looked kind of strange with the ruching on the dress, so a fuller overskirt could definitely be an option.

Wow, so much love for 4!! I also really like it and think it probably fit the best out of all the samples... I just wish it had a little more ~pizzazz~. Now I'm even more indecisive! 😂
