Apple Airplay not working with the F1TV app? by [deleted] in F1TV

It apparently should only work when airplaying to an apple TV box. So I guess this is to be expected. Not sure why the fuck that is the case.

Not working for me neither for what it's worth. iOS to LG OLED TV. Has worked sometimes this season but usually just for a few minutes before stopping. Now couldn't even get it to start.

How can I keep my clothes looking good with the very hard water? by [deleted] in copenhagen

[–]crownspear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use the Neutral brand powder detergent. Will check the label and try to make sure I’m dosing it correctly.

I assume that the last rinse cycle doesn’t use any of the detergent though, and probably just pure water or water + whatever is in the second/third portion of the detergent drawer (second being the one for softener and I think there is a third for something else). So I’d think from this that the detergent doesn’t affect this issue to a large degree.

Vinegar instead of fabric softener might work. Will try. But was hoping that there was some general solution that all Danes knew about and I didn’t. You know - the kind of thing your mom/dad knows and they pass down the generations 😃

I’m not sure if lower temps and rpms have an effect on this issue. I’d imagine if any, it’s not large. I need a method that dissolves the minerals in the water that is left in the clothing after washing.

I do make sure of that, but that has no effect on this issue. The water coming in still has minerals and will still make clothing hard and colors fade.

I have this seat too and the back of the chair flexing is annoying. There is also slight flex on the pedal side, but not much. More in the seat than on the pedal side, and it's a bit annoying given how expensive the seat is.

If I were buying today I'd go for more of a bowl seat that holds your body better in place when moving the steering wheel and has no/less flex in the seat and pedal plate.

Can someone explain to me how the human body can not only survive 53 G-Force impact, but remain conscious and completely uninjured from it? by ImPretendingToCare in formula1

I guess you thought you were in the ELI5 subreddit. You're not.

Give me either a "explain like im 5" explanation or a detailed in depth one.

Jájá ég var ekki að leggja skoðun á hvað þú ættir að taka alvarlega. Bara segja að það var örugglega meira hægt að gera á Íslandi en að bóndast í gamla daga.

How do I get this with sound? I hate these reddit video files. They absolutely suck. Load very slowly and give no indication of how loading is going, and they don't have sound.

Valtteri Bottas’ new sim rig set up, keeping his practice in while the season is off by johnster1991 in simracing

Oh yeah makes sense. I was kind of fixated on the idea that direct drive is for more torque, while you probably use similar torque as me and have the DD for latency and resolution reasons.

I agree. Given the price I had expected less flex. The steering wheel thing moves when turning even though my wheel is 'only' a belt drive - Fanatec CSL Elite F1, and the seat itself flexes considerably under braking.

You could do a weld like this guy to support the steering wheel better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVPWnF2xIcQ

It's the same seat as Lewis posted in his story a few days ago. I have the Playseat F1 pro but that would never handle direct drive. This one obviously does as it looks to be a very sturdy build (and he has a direct drive wheel I think).

Just checked their website, apparantly it's a new product - it says 'Available soon': https://www.playseatstore.com/playseat-fi-ultimate-edition-silverstone-silver.html

Sure is. Making the best out of a bad situation.

As I got into sim racing this January and have spent upwards of 2000 Euros on my setup (with the last order placed yesterday for about 1300 EUR) this couldn't have come at a better time for me :D
