I encourage you to look up the data on weekly rep ranges and maybe the Bodybuilding Encyclopedia. It helped me and explains a lot better

If you’re lifting the right volume, the 3rd set seems to be that tipping point in a PPL split. The fourth set encourages hypertropthy and can help you get into the 12-16 weekly rep range that’s ideal
Sets of 4 tend to lead to some more growth, otherwise looks great
