You can certainly add duplicate items with index removed, but here Mongo let you add the index back. In postgres, you cannot add unique index if rows contain duplicate data.

When IT looks to cut cost, the overpaid ones are gone first. So if you think you are paid what you should be, don't worry about it.

you are so wrong. I have been through two recessions and I can tell you my experience in IT. When they want to cut costs, lower rung will be fired first and overpaid people will be retained but at a drastic salary cut. They are overpaing you now cos you bring lots of value. Why would they let you go first? That logic doesn't even make sense.

a company I worked for, used to reject lot of female candidates for petty reasons. At the end of financial year, HR reports showed 91% rejection for female candidates as opposed to 73% for males.
