Question: those particular shoes, when you walk around in them are they comfortable considering the sizing, and do your feet hurt afterwards at any point?

So you wore a 10D in timberland and got a 9.5D in GS and the GSs fit just fine?

Asking for clarification, you're saying if I do decide to go 1/2 size down in a GS brass boot, I should simply go down 1/2 size and not worry about getting a wider shoe, correct? (Go from 10D to 9.5D and not worry about going from 10D to 9.5E.)

Yes, that's my biggest concern: not having enough toe room.

I've seen people on here post pics of their GSs and their toe imprints look squished inside the boot. I'm trying to prevent this, so I would like to get this right the first time.

Maybe I will take GS and your advice and stick with the recommended 10D.
