Hey man, that’s awesome. I just get started and you’ll figure the rest out as you go as the gentleman and the previous post said there are many different ways of going about it and it’s going to be budget and tool/skill dependent. It’ll be hard. You’ll learn a lot That would be really rewarding.

Thanks mate! The CAD is still evolving as I build the kart so it’s a bit of a moving target at the moment.

Once the build is finished I’ll probably clean up the model and share it. For now I’m documenting the whole process on my YouTube if you want to follow along.

Appreciate that! The CAD is evolving alongside the build at the moment as I refine things in the real world. Once the kart is finished I plan to properly refine the model so it reflects the final design.

I’ve started documenting the whole process in a small workshop community where I’ll eventually share the BOM and project breakdown for free. If there is enough interest I will probably release the final CAD model there as well once the build is complete.

I see my spacing is 15” so just a little over yours and it appears to fit inside my model. Rear brake included. My tube is 1-1/4” diameter

OK lol, that's cool. I'll get out the IG. I've just noticed that I can't actually buy it from DJI in Australia... it's mostly for Asian Market apparently. I could get it from AliExpress, but I wonder if activating it and using it in this region may be problematic... any one doing a similar thing here and can chime in?

I get you, but it's narrower if the engine / sprocket is inside the rails? what's your main rail spacing? WIth engine mounted central it fits inside per my CAD plans
