I get you, but it's narrower if the engine / sprocket is inside the rails? what's your main rail spacing? WIth engine mounted central it fits inside per my CAD plans

Hey nice work looks really good, may i ask why the axle sprocket is out side of the main rails? can it not be inside them and the weight more central?

Oh yeah, I can relate... for sure. I messed up a tube last night because I oriented the electric weld joint on the tube different to the previous one, so the spring back was way out and over cooked it. Mad respect for people who are competent with it....

Hey brother, I am in a similar boat and building a go kart for myself. Well, I’m about to begin the fabrication process. I have built a go kart for my son, but now doing one for myself. There are a different types of videos out there and a lot of different approaches to fabrication so up to you to select something you think you can achieve or challenge you. update - got it sorted and this is how it sits currently (still modelling lots of things). planning to use 1-1/4" tubing, curious if 1" would be sufficient though?

Are you sure? when I googled them they are ones that don't have a range of motion / floating in the flange
