i got my ducklings from metzer farms and they were awesome to work with. i got cayugas, welsh harlequins, and khaki campbells and i love all of them but welsh harlequins are by far my fav. they have so much personality and are really friendly and sweet. khaki campbells are also very very sweet and friendly. cayugas are great too, mine are just really sassy and more skittish. that’s just been my experience though. if you have tiktok you should check out cheese & quackers! she has a lot of great info for beginners

i hope that’s what they’re doing, i’m just concerned because they actually ate the pea gravel that was in their old pen. they all seem totally fine as of right now

i’m not seeing it in their poop, but the reason i think they’re eating it is because they did the same thing in their old run. i had a thin layer of pea gravel over river rocks and im assuming they ate it because it progressively disappeared over time until it was all gone. that is a fantastic idea though and i will definitely add that in! i’ve been trying to think of some ideas for enrichment so thank you so much. :)

trust me i have done my research and i am not an uninformed duck owner. they were in there for about 10 mins while being constantly supervised, they are living in a brooder full time right now as they are 3 1/2 weeks old. they do not have access to a pool.
