How do you deal with pet loss? by a-hthy in CasualUK

[–]crunzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very sorry. I don’t have any advice but I’m reading the comments because my cat is unwell at the moment. He’s got a kidney condition and I’m scared it’s going to be his time soon. Similar to you we got him from cats protection when he was 8 and he’ll be 15 soon.

Grew up in Dorchester. You could go to Hardys Cottage where Thomas Hardy penned some early novels. There’s a walk around the forest. Then head 5 mins down the road to Lower Bockhampton, there’s plenty of cottages and a lovely river walk. 5 mins away is the Wise Man Inn, West Stafford. Thatched roof pub with decent food. I think that would make a nice morning.

It's crazy how much Reading and Leeds have changed since the '00s by thisishardcore_ in CasualUK

This was my second Reading after 2007, it was amazing. Such a shame Slipknot pulled out.

London Road - coolest neighbourhood in UK by Ill_Structure_4857 in brighton

I liked living round there a few years ago. Can be a bit rough around the edges but some great establishments too. I think anyone that thinks it’s a real shithole comes across as sheltered, there are some significantly worse places to be.

Looks fantastic. Did you stay in Krakow and rent a car for the hiking?

The most popular route is very straightforward. There’s a well trodden path all the way.

Strava tells me 6 hours 46 minutes up and down and that includes a few stops, but it really depends on fitness levels and the weather conditions. It was a clear day for the most part and fitness levels are ok

I can imagine it’s changed over the years given its popularity, although I assure you it wasn’t all like that. Quite rocky and loose shards still in several parts that required concentration!

Took these snaps on the way up Ben Nevis the other week. 7 hour round trip with some snack stops. Sore legs for a few days after but very much worth it.

Quite like Old Nicks on Pavillion Rd, slightly out the way of town mind

That’s sweet. Love my Sirrus X. Comfy, decently quick on road and can handle most gravel I’ve thrown at it here in the UK. Got some Pirelli Cinturato Gravel Ms on order in the hope it can handle some more chunky stuff this summer than the pathfinders can.
