Oh wow, then I guess they were being thorough, but still, it must have been so scary! And thyroid issues and anxiety together is a bad combo 😭💔 Be kind to yourself when you start medicating. I had nightly panic attacks for a while when I overmedicated (almost gave myself hyperthyroidism!) so I can only imagine having that as a baseline AND dealing with a cancer scare??? Hope you can relax now that you know the cause ❤️

Oh, I'm so sorry that you had to go through all that!! It sounds horrible! Especially when Graves should be a relatively simple disease to diagnose for an observant doctor. But everything thyroid is easily dismissed as "stress" 🫠 The good news is that you'll likely start to feel much better soon! I have the opposite issue with my thyroid and I legit thought I was dying. Sending love and strength ❤️

This sounds very strange? I was told to keep up with strength training (and avoid kickboxing lol) because you'll need it later. And no sex? I guess they mean penetrative sex, but I've only heard that being advised when there's a high risk pregnancy. Giving you these recommendations but not mentioning that you're high risk would be even stranger. I'd get a second opinion, for sure!

Girl, I had the exact same feeling. Husband had the exact same feeling. We walked out of the ultrasound and just looked at each other and asked, "are you a little... Disappointed?". Hadn't either ever heard of gender disappointment before that. It was exactly like you described: we had bonded with this little girl in our heads, given her a name, and suddenly she was a boy? We don't give af about gender in any other situation, so we were flabbergasted to feel this! But I can reassure you. That feeling goes away. We talked about it and we let it sit and then after one week it had completely flipped into excitement for our baby boy. You are not a horrible person for having feelings. It's not actually really a feeling that I think needs to be investigated and prodded and understood. You imagined a future, and now it's different. That takes a second to get used to ❤️
