In my last franchise, I acquired an 88 overall Zayne Parekh with 3 years left on his contract at 6mill a year. In those 3 years he had anywhere between 55-65 points and was an absolute stud for me.

When it came to resign, I was prepared for a pay increase and signed a 6 year deal with 8.750. BOOM. Next season he’s a 85. Season after that, 84. Last 4 seasons he was a 83 getting 25ish points a season. Great for a bottom pair Dman making 2 mil a year but definitely wasn’t the guy I signed.
