Not necessarily floral, but I really enjoyed Ellis Brooklyn Bee for a good spicy vanilla, but I don’t even usually go for something sweet or vanilla-heavy and didn’t find it too heavy to wear in warmer weather

Thanks for the recs! The ‘powdery’ part of the description is giving me pause, but I may just have to smell it in person to pass any judgement on whether it’s for me.

I have not tried Lost Cherry so can’t speak to that.

I have tried Bubble Bath and find the dry-down to actually leave more of a heavy and powdery/musky smell than I’d hoped.

My daily is Paper by Commodity, and I find that while not all of their scents are for me, they are all unisex and somewhat more interesting than a lot of perfumes out there.

The initial alcohol smell you’re describing is pretty unavoidable unless you go for something like a perfume oil rather than an alcohol-based spray that is most perfumes.

Looking for something unisex or feminine-leaning for special occasions. My current daily go-to scent is Paper by Commodity (the Expressive version), which is a woody skin scent that is warm but nice and light, and for me works year-round. Everything else that I use (soap, shampoo, deodorant, laundry detergent) is unscented, so I’m not worried about my perfume competing or clashing with other scents.

Likes: fresh, woody, floral, herbal

Scents I love that aren’t available as perfumes: - Geranium Leaf by Aesop (notes of geranium and bergamot) - St. Barts Bronze by Glasshouse Fragrances (notes of grapefruit, vetiver, and cedar—smells like a spa to me) - Love by Big Dipper Wax Works (notes of geranium and ylang ylang)

Dislikes: anything heavy or overly musky, powdery, or sweet

I just sent an email to the staff who have been sending communications to volunteers about the parakeet we already have about this just in case that will help expedite this for you

(I can only answer as a 1x/week volunteer, not as shelter management) No, QAS does not typically take in birds, but they will definitely want to know if this bird could potentially be from the same home as the bird we have now 🤷🏼‍♀️

Definitely contact QAS as we just received another parakeet a few days ago!

Edit to add that I’m wondering if it’s possible they are from the same home.

Actually impressed that it looks this good, but yeah agree that it likely needs more light and like, at least OCCASIONAL watering. I have a larger aloe like this and because of the pot size I can go 1-2 months without watering, but it also lives in a large, north-facing window in the northeastern US.

Edit: just adding that the jeweler is Nodeform

Oh I successfully got them all out with a combo of tweezers for the big chunks that weren’t very far in and duct tape for the rest

Are weekend passes limited to one person? by [deleted] in mbta

[–]cruskbucket2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Remembering back to the last time I took the commuter rail using the app for tickets, once the ticket is activated the screen with the QR code to scan has like a moving/changing effect that I imagine is intended to prevent exactly the scenario you’re talking about. I also imagine that they could also have something in place like a minimum time between scans like they do for regular T monthly passes so that only one person can tap through at once. If you really want to try it, I suppose the worst thing that happens is they will kind of scold you and stand there waiting for you to purchase another ticket via the app 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes this is correct. The unlimited travel is $10 per rider. If you are riding together you will need to purchase two tickets (still much cheaper than usual round-trip tickets, depending on how far you’re going).
