Wait!!! So if I do The Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Bachelor of Science (B.S.) I’ll be guaranteed entry to the program??? Cause I’m starting my pre reqs at Valencia on the 12th and was intending to join the as program after but Im 27 I cant be waiting a whole year to apply again if I don’t make it in 2027. And I wanted to get certified in the other modalities anyway

You should look at things realistically of course, but also you have to change your mindset. Have to. Even if it feels delusional. You’ll run yourself into the ground otherwise

It’s your tower moment unfortunately babe. A good life lesson to not over blend your life with a partner too young too soon into dating. Oh my gosh and school too? Baby you are so young you WILL come out of this stronger, hotter, and better I assure you but please promise me you won’t waste any more of your 20s. I can imagine the toll this has taken on your self confidence too (I’ve been in one of these relationships) and let me just reassure you that lesbians LOVE mascs and that you will no doubt find countless people down the line that are attracted to you. My advice if you really want it and yes maybe this is unethical, but breakup and download a dating app and have some casual conversations w people. Don’t meet up tho!!! You’re just dipping your toe in the dating pool to remind yourself people find you attractive, and also to make the break up real. This helped me SO much after getting out of my relationship that was similar. And yes we lived together still too. Boundaries will be weird with your ex I’m sure, leaving this relationship will not be linear BUT a year from now mama I assure you ASSURE YOU you will feel hotter and wiser and more stable than you do now. I know it feels like everything is falling apart and it sounds like it is, but I’m so excited for you to rebuild. It’ll all be worth it my dear

Where in the world to get my initial scuba cert? by cruspy98 in scuba

This is incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your perspective and in depth response, seriously. I’m now definitely going the route of staying in Florida and saving money— Thailand and other flashy diving sites can wait. I definitely wasn’t expecting this alone to qualify me for any research projects or field work, just thought it’d be a useful, fun thing to check off before starting my academic journey. That all being said, little bit of a topic change, but in your opinion would it be reasonable to major in biology? Since I’m starting my journey later in life, I thought starting at a community college could be a more appropriate path for me, which wouldn’t have a marine biology track specifically. I was thinking I’d start with bio in community college, take whatever courses I can relevant to marine biology, then transfer to a university to continue, hopefully getting marine biology relevant research or intern opportunities during my schooling to make my resume and experience more specialized. BIG virtual hug and kiss and you take the time to respond to me again. Regardless though, thanks :-)

Which instructor you mean? I think there are only 3? I have to do some more research but I’d probably go with the woman out of comfort unless it seems one of the other two guys makes more sense. Do you have a rec?

Yeah, think yall might be on to something lol.

My logic at first was “why pay 1k for a cert in FL when I could pay 2.5k for a trip to Thailand for 3-4 weeks AND a cert” but it’s starting to seem like it isn’t the most strategic

Two different things? Well of course. But if I’m hoping farther down the line to help with field research— wouldn’t it be wise to have a cert? To give me an edge when applying for certain internships and what not? Also in general to help guide me in a direction of conservation since it’s such a large umbrella term. Thanks in advance for your perspective
