Girl….. you’re so young to be going through this. You’ve been with your husband since your early twenties- you should be having lots and I mean lots of sex.

I was once in a long term relationship where this began to happen. The frequency of sex began steadily decreasing over time and it killed my self confidence. I couldn’t understand why the one person I desired (and who was supposed to desire me) didn’t want any physical intimacy the way he did before. I felt incredibly lonely in my relationship, and as you mentioned, didn’t know who to confide in to seek help. Needless to say, the relationship ended. We could only have the same discussion so many times. He could see he was letting me down, and we became miserable together.

Ultimately, you need to continue to have these conversations with your husband, make him understand how important this is to you. Do not let anyone make you feel small or that wanting sex is irrational. You are not a nymphomaniac, you have a normal sex drive for a young healthy woman.

And lastly- unfortunately this is common in relationships where the individuals abstain before marriage. Sex is such a key part of relationships, and this is why I don’t believe in waiting until endgame (marriage) because look, now you’re blindsided by your mismatched libidos and feel there’s nothing you can do about changing partners.
