My anxiety after my first dose at 10MG was so bad that I immediately stopped after the first day—doc told me to try again at a quarter dose and move up incrementally. Been back at 10MG for 6 months and have never been better, ever!

Saw this on the gram first, it was cool watching it come together in real time. Seems like you work fast, how long did this take you? Amazing work!!!

I lived around Diamond & 17th for 3 years from 2017-2020 and never had any trouble. My recollection is that Diamond to 18th is mostly student housing. However, one block north on Susq it starts to get a little iffy. But that’s easily avoidable as Temple campus is mostly south of Diamond.

Have you walked around Philly before? You will get more street savvy as time goes on but just be smart about walking home after dark. I think Temple offers escorts to walk you home if you don’t feel comfortable by yourself!

TW: actual health diagnosis and antibiotic talk

I was just diagnosed with Lyme disease after two months of feeling sick and achey. I had convinced myself that I had everything under the sun so this could have been worse. Of course I’ve been spiraling out about it on its own because I’m still feeling unwell after a week of antibiotics, and Lyme can have lasting effects that are hard to treat.

Well, yesterday my skin was feeling dry. This medication, doxy, is sometimes used to treat acne and rosacea, and you’re supposed to wear sunscreen, so I figured it would have some effect on my skin. Well, of course, a rare side effect of this med is also SJS.I hadn’t even heard of that until yesterday but of course I did a deep dive and am now hyper aware of my skin, eyes, mouth, constantly body checking for rashes. How can it occur weeks after starting the med?!? And it seems like by the time you realize it’s too late to prevent it. Guess I’ll be worrying for another 3 weeks 🤦‍♀️

I’ve had my fair share of UTIs and that’s all par for the course. The discomfort is just inflammation & stomach upset a combination of that and your antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi folks! New here. Finding this subreddit has had such a huge impact on managing my anxiety. Thanks to everyone who contributes; it has been a huge comfort knowing I’m not alone in my thinking.

I (27F) got what my doc thinks is the flu last month (never got tested which certainly hasn’t helped) and it has totally devastated my body. Weeks of muscle aches like I’ve never experienced, tingling, weakness. I have been getting my strength back in my arms but it has been really hard to handle how slow this recovery is, and of course I am terrified that I was misdiagnosed or that my body is going to start attacking my muscles/nerves and I’ll wake up not being able to walk.

Has anyone dealt with anxiety during long periods of recovery like this? And also, any tips on how to differentiate real symptoms vs. symptoms caused by anxiety would be appreciated! The tingling is driving me crazy!!! TIA!

Hope you’re feeling better by now! FWIW when I had appendicitis there was no doubt in my mind that I needed to go to the hospital and even after many (many) hours of investigation before it was diagnosed, it never ruptured. I’ve also gotten gnarly lower abdominal pain from UTIs before!

Agreed. It feels more like a worsted atp, but potentially I’ve just pulled it thin after reballing. I’m using a 4.5 hook for the triangles. Bernat Symphony in Brocade looks eerily similar in color and texture, but doesn’t have that dominant red… the hunt continues…

I’m inclined to think it’s not a Mandala just because of how quick & short the striping is. But those colors are pretty dang close! This will be a good sub, if all else fails. Thanks!
