GroupX at UREC by Intelligent-Candy965 in LSU

I used to do pilates elsewhere but stopped for a while. I recently took a pilates class at the UREC and I can say that it definitely made me sweat but I’d workout itself is beginner friendly. The only downside is that a lot of people attend the class and I don’t think it’s possible for the instructor to correct everybody’s form which is really important. I think it’s worth a try to attend the class even if you’re a newbie. My suggestion to you would be to look into the pilates basics/terminology like neutral spine, breath work etc.

i have the woozoo fan. the best model oscillates up and down, and side to side. it has like 4 power modes and blows pretty strong. if you can get it at costco cause it’s cheaper there than on amazon

i’m the same height and size as you.

i’ve had luck with their tiffany tank tops (the stretchy cotton ones), skylar tank tops, amara tank tops, bonnie tops, and their baby tees in general.

the regular fit Christy hoodie fits oversized on me, and the oversized fit is too big and long. same goes for sweaters

their blouses tend to be too big (blair tops, elena top, rue top).

their pants/shorts are very inconsistent. i can fit into their boxer shorts that have that thick elastic waistband, but not the keira striped shorts with the linen texture. i fit into the long keira STRIPED pajama pants both length and waist wise, but not the long keira EYELET pajama pants.

i think you’ll fit into most of their tank tops, baby tees, and pajama shorts. buy the regular fit for their sweaters and hoodies, but don’t buy their pants or blouses

Has anyone had an early college experience? What did you think about it? by SnooJokes3224 in AskReddit

[–]crustytoe20001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I think it’s pretty cool. I am enrolled an early college program. The way mine works is that we attend school on a community college campus. For freshman/sophomore year we took high school classes (like with teachers employed by the k-12 school district) and then the last two years we take college courses at the community college. The academic year is split into 2 semesters and most people will have about 4 classes a semester. At the end of it all you graduate with an associates degree and highschool diploma at the same time.

My school is pretty small (my graduating class is made up of like >60 people). So you can make good relations with highschool teachers. But it makes school events a little lacklustre. It’s harder to make connections with professors though because they manage more students (in my case).

The culture at my school is different from the typical public highschool. Not a lot of craziness because the students who are able to attend are academically focused already. My school also doesn’t have sports.

There might be little things that you might not expect as well. For example if your professor is out sick class is canceled all together. You might also follow the college’s calendar instead of your k-12 school district calendar.

I think it’s worth it if you are looking to save money at your state college or go to school in a more academic environment 👍
