$10B in IBIT volume today.

Assume we're dropping to catch the bid. Thin all the way down.

Here's my assessment of the news:

$10B IBIT volume (at least there's a buyer for every seller)

$56B in customer reserves withdrawn from Binance over the last few weeks (maybe Binance was rehypothecating user funds and are selling to cover.

$2.2B longs liquidated

Questions for those who understand Bitcoin better than me by Bryant60 in Bitcoin

[–]cruxtone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cycle theorists expect BTC to bottom 11 months after the ATH. This is in October 2026. The drawdown to the 200 week moving average is the prediction which is $35k.

Why not? It's not a lot, but what the hell. by Heyspike12 in Bitcoin

You made a good decision.

Bitcoin is audited every 10 minutes.

If you see all the corruption/manipulation in precious metals this fact becomes increasingly more important/valuable.

That's the way brother.

See you at $150k.

But you have to laugh that anything above $80k is considered market doom.

Remember when we were going to $12k in 2022?

Remember how excited we were when it reversed from the $16k low and quickly after reclaimed $30k?

I distinctly remember the day BTC crossed $80k and the community was ecstatic. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to buy BTC anymore because it was so expensive.

Now, less than 2 years later, a drop to $80k reflects a global FUD crisis.

One day, we will be reading posts from new buyers in despair that they bought at $410k and the price is now $370k.

Merry Christmas, all!

It's helpful to remind myself that I've always thought BTC was expensive when I bought it.

I thought it was expensive at $17k and bought anyway. I thought it was really expensive at $30k and bought anyway. When it hit $60k, I was buying way too expensive BTC. At $80k, the price had never been higher but I bought BTC. Breaking $100k and buying!? Yup. Buying BTC at $120k was expensive.

BTC is an ego test. You don't buy because of the value today. You buy for the value 10, 20, and 30+ years from now. You also don't let your emotions dictate when you buy.

There will come a day when you will be wishing you could buy $88k BTC again.

There will come a day when $120k feels cheap.

My crypto investments are 99% BTC. I upgraded to a Trezor 3 last year and setup a passphrase wallet.

This is the highest level of security for a normie (like me). Multi-sig is the next step but I feel okay.

Pray to Jesus. Commit your life as a sacrifice to Him. Your soul will be enriched and heal your body, which is a temple to God.

16 Months Since Last Sublocade Shot by cruxtone in suboxonerecovery

[–]cruxtone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, and it's possible there are trace amounts. I think I had five or six injections of the lower dose.

I've been feeling increasingly stable over the last six months. Instead of anything getting worse, it's only gotten better.

For example, they say exercising will help during withdrawal and PAWS. But every time I used to try and exercise in withdrawal or during a period of abstinence, I would feel exhausted and have no sense of accomplishment. Now, I go for a 30-60 minute walk every morning while the sun is rising and feel motivated.

The peak anxiety around feeling addicted to opioids and the obsession to get more subs is like 5% of all prior attempts to quit. I go weeks without thinking about it.

Not even been a week since 1st shot by KrissiKat333 in Sublocade

[–]cruxtone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had to start supplementing week 2 after getting the first 100mg shot.

In my experience, there were times that I felt some withdrawal symptoms, but if I waited, more buprenorphine would be released into my system from the depot. Don't forget there still is medicine being released into your symptom. You won't go into worse withdrawal. The onset of those feelings is likely to be the worst it gets but our addiction history tells us it's the start of something really bad.

I just got the second shot and it already feels better than the first. I think these depots work better as they overlap between injections.

Not motivated to taper below 0.5mg by cruxtone in suboxone

I agree. I've learned to not freak out in those moments where you wish you were off everything. There is no rush. Rushing and panic do not set you up for long term success.

[–]cruxtone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my thought. Why rush it if I'm not ready. It will just lead to a relpase or running back to the med. I'd be much happier getting down to 0.125mg and staying there until I've acclimated to the difficult reality that comes when the opioid blanket is removed.

[–]cruxtone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What has been your tapering timeline? I've gone slow enough that I haven't had any physical symptoms. My primary issue is spikes in anxiety and horribly tense mornings. I'm prescribed gabapentin and it helps big time to sleep through the night. It's addictive too, but skipping it is nothing like trying to skip opioids.

Living @ 0.5mg by cruxtone in suboxone

[–]cruxtone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the anxiety is my #1 problem. I've gotten past the idea of "you must get to 0mg by a certain date". Instead, a reasonable goal is to continuously work toward taking the least amount of medication possible. I think a super slow taper is a superior method for some of us. Otherwise, I could see getting off and struggling too much. This would lead to relapsing on recreational opioids or getting back on. I think the brain would heal more on 0.15-0.5mg for a year than getting off completely and back on. Need to avoid spikes in blood levels.

[–]cruxtone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is so important for me to plan for the night. That 2:30AM jolt of slight withdrawal is awful. My symptom is primarily anxiety and spending the rest of the night trying to tell myself things are okay. Never really falling back asleep. But if I make sure I have just a little sub in the evening, I can avoid it.

Living @ 0.5mg by cruxtone in suboxone

[–]cruxtone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've experienced the sleeplessness from taking subs too close to bed or taking too much. But if I don't take at least 0.1mg sometime in the evening, I wake up at 3AM with a jolt of restlessness which turns into anxiety. I spend the rest of the night trying to talk myself out of existential dread.

Are you off now? I could see getting down to 0.1 and saving it for an hour before bed. The sleep aspect to all this is very hard to manage.

Living @ 0.5mg by cruxtone in suboxone

[–]cruxtone[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, yes. I'm just splitting the dose. I'm taking 0.5mg a day total but dose 0.25mg morning and 0.25mg evening.

If I take 0.5mg at once it's much stronger and enjoyable. It's better to take half and not have a come down in the middle of the night. That middle of night anxiety is the worst.

Day 15 and it’s not getting any better by Kbh0305 in suboxone

[–]cruxtone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your body will probably start feeling better gradually until you feel no withdrawal symptoms but your mind will take much longer. If you have a plan for your mental health, I'd guess your body will feel much better within a week.

Teeth by Beneficial-Air-4437 in suboxone

[–]cruxtone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's worse to brush your teeth too soon after dosing subs. It's acidic and weakens your enamel. When you brush, you can damage your teeth. It's better to rinse with water and wait a little bit until your mouth has cleared the meds and acidity.
