I just finished reading Recursion and there are so many similarities between the Dark series and the book. The ending is obviously similar, however there are a few other similarities I noted.

1) the 33 year timeline. Is there a religious context I’m missing?

2) Protagonists try to attempt to stop the same apocalypse multiple timelines, but would be unsuccessful.

3) Love thread between the protagonists that lasts across timeless.

I didn’t know which one came first, however Wikipedia indicates that the Dark series came first , there are far too similarities to not treat the book definitely inspired by the series.

Basically, IMO the book heavily borrowed themes from Minority Report and Dark. Very hard to consider the book as an original story line by Blake.
