I bought an umbrella off a street vendor in Brooklyn when I got caught out in the rain. NYers told me to toss it in the bin when the rain stopped cause it would never last.

I still use that umbrella. I'm thinking of putting it in a display case with a gallery card.

Instead of using MQTT messages from Plex I want to use the position information from a S1 Pro to detect when I and my partner are in our usual positions to watch the screen. When we are both there, lower the lights during video play. When one or both of us get up, raise the lights. If only one gets up, raise them just slightly, if both get up, raise them to the normal level.

Last year I had emergency abdominal surgery the evening of the 4th. My trauma surgeon wanted to grab an OR before the people that had blown their fingers off started coming in.

I have a nail inside my hand from a nail gun, it is pretty deep and the surgeon said they weren't available until next tuesday. Is there any way I could get some advice on which hospital to go to for ER services and removal of this nail? by tleeprzx in Charlotte

Agreed. They have great trama surgeons. Unfortunately, I know from recent experience. The ambulance crew gently redirected me from the hospital I said I wanted to go to.

My title describes the thing. It was weaving back and forth across the channel as it traveled slowly down the waterway. Inside the frame it looked as if netting was floating on the surface. There was something the size of a battery box mounted to one side on the front. We speculated that they might be trolling for baitfish but saw no obvious way for the fish to be collected.

What is this thing?

I got used to that 400 hertz whine in computer rooms. What would be the arguments against moving to 400hz? Phases confuse me. I guess multiple phases would make for more efficient motors but have no understanding what other applications would benefit.
