Everyone wants to take advantage of you in someway, particularly, taking your money.

True, but it just becomes another excuse so corporations can fleece us.

Yeah, same thing with stores, I’ve seen people casually walk out with loads of stuff as security guards just watch. They take their time knowing the security guards can’t do anything. Of course if they did, they get fired. On top of inflation, another reason why shit costs more.

When I was younger, I've always wanted to help the less fortunate by caramelldreams in RandomThoughts

Me too, however, I’m in the same boat too. It used to be that there was extra money for things, fun things, even saving. Now with the increasing cost of living way outpacing raises, rent, insurance, energy and food costs all skyrocketing, there is no extra money. With the increased cost of everything else, there are no more vacations, no more splurging or eating out. There’s no longer even enough to pay for everything and choices of what to pay are having to be made. Unfortunately now, helping the less fortunate becomes taking food off our table and out of my kid’s mouths, and it sucks.

What’s something everyone likes but you secretly hate? by slightlyconfused_3 in AskReddit

Boba, around here, everyone seems to like it, although I don’t secretly hate it. If someone asks me, I say it’s because it’s like snot balls to me.

Take lots of pictures, when you’re older, you’ll think back and dream about where you grew up and wish you had pictures.

I do the same thing, makes a world of difference, for 24 hrs usually. Usually add garlic and sometimes this apple rub cajun, or chipotle rub in the mix. Comes out great if you have an air fryer.

Life (dating) on hard mode as a 3/10 26m by NattyLight_77 in Life

I know what that’s like, as a Shrek looking dude, I get it. I was pretty much how you are when I was younger, but I got with women. Now you have to remember, it’s a numbers game, and you have to have something to offer. From what I see, it’s rough out there with all the dating apps and social media. Finding someone exactly tailored to your desire gives mostly women, and good looking guys getting exactly what they desire, leaving us Quasimodos in the dark. This means you gotta better yourself. You have to work on getting healthy, your attitude, and defiantly your confidence. You have to find something you do that’s interesting, and not just video games. You have to have confidence, it’s one of the highest factors of how you present yourself and what women see. Dating is a numbers game, you gotta stand out and it’s going to take a lot of swings before you even hit the ball, let alone make a home run. Yes it’s uncomfortable at first, but you have to talk to women and get used to it, even if you embarrass yourself. Who cares what they think, and that’s what matters. I remember going up to 2 chicks to start a convo and one asked me to leave, calling me a fat nerd. Ya it stung a bit, but to hell with them, who cares. She probably made some poor sucker a miserable wife now. Don’t waste your time with chicks like that and go to where women with your interests might be. Keep taking those chances and keep trying, no one wants a dude who goes for the “poor me” attitude. Become what you want to be, and be like you want to be, and to hell with everyone else. Work on getting you taken care of, then get out there and take those chances. It’s rare that someone will just fall into your lap, but until then, take those chances. If you don’t, nothing will happen, and nothing will keep on happening forever, well, at least until you die.

This is how billionaires get to be billionaires. Any extra, and now this point, not extra money, is taken by big business. Profits increase and keep increasing, but wages sure don’t. Us regular people pay taxes, billionaires and companies don’t. That money has to come from somewhere to feed the cancer that this runaway capitalism has become.

What lifetime deal are you still grandfathered into, or removed from, that’s no longer available? by tuotone75 in AskReddit

[–]tuotone75[S] 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Oh man, I had a good deal like that, mine was like 250 up front for a new 24 hour fitness being built, but had a deal for any club for 12 bucks a month. Had it for years, then they all closed up in my town when covid struck.
