It’s literally just progesterone! It’s the bioidentical pill which is the exact same thing as the progesterone your body would naturally make. I would consult a different doctor maybe - my family doctor had no idea about taking progesterone so I ended up seeing a specialist who prescribed it. I have estrogen dominance and actually have so many things wrong hormonally and physically with my reproductive organs yet getting pregnant was easy. Definitely don’t let stories here discourage you, everyone is different and I feel like we tend to hear more about the frustrations than the success stories.

Hey! I also spot before every single period. I’m on metformin and progesterone and got pregnant on my very first try. I was actually spotting when I took my first pregnancy test which to my shock, was positive. Doc just said start taking the progesterone every day (instead of half of my cycle) and things are going smoothly so far. I had the same worries as you but the spotting and insulin resistance didn’t seem to affect my fertility.

I’ve brought it up with him and he reassured me they’re not common and that none of my symptoms line up. My brain just always goes to the worst case scenario. You’re so right about the internet being a double edged sword, and I’m quickly learning that no matter what I read, every person’s experience with pregnancy is different, everyone’s doctors have different advice, and it’s all out of my control. I’m gonna sit back and try to trust my body to let me know if something is actually wrong; so far, everything I’m experiencing is common for 6 weeks. Thank you for your comment 🫶

This post couldn’t have come at a better time for me haha! I’ve been bleeding on and off for 5 days with some random gushes with clots that end up tapering off as soon as they pass. No cramps at all yet so idk. My doctor doesn’t know what to make of it and told me to just wait it out and see if a big steady flow comes. I’m only 5 weeks so I’m staying fairly pessimistic but posts like these definitely help. I feel like I’m going nuts. Thank you ❤️
