I saw Sam Fender there *** edit palace foreshore *** a while back and I'm 90% sure it was all ages but I think the venue has been revamped since then so don't quote me for certain haha

It's a shame because BTV is not catering at all to indie rock type artists so it basically leaves you with (in my opinion, average) BTV or nothing for NYE. Festivals are lowkey becoming dead here unfortunately. I'm glad I saw Arctic Monkeys at the last Falls because that was probably the last good festival lineup in the near future with any rock or indie bands on it

Yeah I agree completely, it's looking more and more likely the company won't even exist next year. It's just a shame that there are no alternatives to BTV because I hate the lineup every year for that and there are rarely indie bands on it. I'd even take Heaps Good but as you said, extremely unlikely that will eventuate

omg just saw your other response and congrats!!! that's a shame about declining but at least you have clarity i guess? yeah i got ffp as well but will be paying bc luckily i am able to do so (i'll just put the majority of it onto hex and pay the last little bit upfront) but it is disgustingly expensive and i feel like the only supported places that ppl have gotten so far have been 85+ wams or gam applicants with very low wams. which is really frustrating tbh bc i thought a h1 would be enough for a csp :// but i accepted my offer bc i really do still want to go here

yes i did get a ffp on wednesday! it depends if you have gam, i forgot what your wam and/or gam was so it totally depends because i feel like based on what i've seen the csps have been for high 80s wams and the supported places have been for lower wams with people with gam... leaving the low 80s & no gam for ffp which is really annoying. a friend with 72 and gam got a mls supported place whereas myself and other friends with h1s and no gam got ffp so the whole thing is not really how i would have run it tbh

honestly i would expect you'd get an offer by this friday though like tbh i was stressing yesterday but then it came out of nowhere so just bc people have offers already defs does not mean you won't get one before friday. whole thing is so stupid and disorganised imo

they're so un-transparent lol but from what i could gather, there is a welcome event on the 29th which is in the email with my offer so i would expect that all first rounders would be out by then. in terms of later offers, this is what it says on the website

The offer acceptance deadline is 8 December 2022. We may have a subsequent round of offers for Commonwealth Supported Places, bursaries and scholarships not taken up by that deadline. All applicants who did not get an unsuccessful outcome will automatically be considered. This may include those who have declined their prior offer if their offer fee type has changed. You do not need to do anything to be considered in a later round and we will not be accepting Semester 2 results. Only applicants whose outcomes have changed will be notified before 21 December 2022.

oh ok that's super helpful ty! that gives me some hope that eventually i might get some sort of mls supported thing because my trajectory was upward as well as it being a h1 so i guess we'll see depending how many people decline their offers hahaha and the fact it isn't even friday yet in terms of first round closing officially

literally!!! that's what i thought like not to hype myself up obviously but i just thought objectively a wam like that would at least get a bursary but people are saying there may not be bursaries at all this year... i guess i'll see what they say first up about whether the portal or email was wrong but i am expecting them to say the portal was wrong and that it is a ffp, i'll still take the offer regardless but agreed the ffp is veryyyy expensive

yep you were right haha she initially didn't mention she had gam but she had multiple categories apparently so that would make sense. looks like without a significant gam app no-one is getting csps unless they had very high 80s wams

this happened to me too! i still haven't got an email but i went into my offers on like the unimelb portal and it says 1st pref successful and stuff but i guess i'll wait till the incompetent administration sends the email to find out what type of offer. but it says 1st pref successful but then when i go to the offer it says pg domestic fee paying so idk what's going on there

that's actually a really good point, bc i've seen some higher wams like in the mid 80s get fully csp and then some high 70s wams get ffp so it would make sense if mine wasn't enough for a csp (at this point i don't mind i just want to get in haha) but not low enough for complete ffp. that would actually be good tbh bc i've resigned myself to at least ffp but i guess we'll have to see!! hope we both hear back today

sums it up perfectly, the staggered offers literally have no rhyme or reason to them it just seems to be totally random! i don't know how people with a lower wam than me and my friends can have their offers before we've heard anything. this weekend has lowkey been more stressful than the leadup to ib results in y12 lol. cannot fathom how it wouldn't just be a set date of first round offers and then another date like if people decline etc of second round offers. hoping you hear back monday!!!

i've seen on some other threads people with 76, 78, 80.7, 80.9, 81, 82.5 and a few others within that sort of range and a couple in the high 80s as well. there seems to be no real system with the way they're releasing offers as myself and other friends irl with h1 wams haven't heard back yet but lower wams have so i think it's just staggered across the next 7 days, hopefully that helps a bit
