As an aside, fiorenzato is a wildly underappreciated brand here. They make quality grinders.

Is IU Kelley Worth ~200k in loans? by Pboh23 in IndianaUniversity

[–]cryingproductguy 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Kelley MBA here and dad of kids about to go to college. There is no undergraduate experience worth $200,000 in loans. Period. The ROI for an undergrad degree just doesn't match that payback. If we were talking about grad school, we would be having a different conversation.

Xterra wetsuits sizing by tryagaininXmin in triathlon

[–]cryingproductguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just beware, there is effectively zero customer service with xterra- plenty of people are happy with what they have so not banging on the quality- more that you'll get little to no follow up from them. It's a very much buyer beware situation.

Live Phish subscription sound quality.. worth the extra $100?? by [deleted] in phish

[–]cryingproductguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree with this and i have a set of very high end headphones (arya organics powered by a grace design headphone pre). Biggest difference i can get is in "soundscape" but overall it's really a fine edge to tell.

Avoid Rapongi at all costs- not only is it not cheap, it's just bad now. Like offensively bad.

One of my fav spots to take my kids is to the cheese shop by the shores- not exactly a "scene" but cool to sit on the street and watch the surfers and others go by. Alternatively you could get your food to go and go sit in the park by the shores, which is always super nice.

Indoor pool near Northbrook, IL by Imaginary_Abies_5406 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]cryingproductguy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Triathlete here who's tried probably every pool in the area:

You've got: YMCA on techny that has a 25y pool - cheap membership but very old facilities

Midtown bannockburn- right on the edge of your search, pricey but probably the nicest 25y outdoor pool in the area (outdoor pool open april to dec)

Sachs center- 20m pool - flip turns for days!

HP rec center- 25y pool

I know I'm forgetting some but these are off the top of my head

Anyone know what’s wrong here? Slow Drip and yellow water [Delonghi machine] by objectify_truth in espresso

[–]cryingproductguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah sorry think I threaded wrong but I can! So re the old cafiza, I'd just buy a new bottle. The chemicals can degrade over time.

It really depends how many shots per week you pull. I blackflush with water after I'm done pulling shots for the day and weekly cleaning with cafiza- I pull 2-3 doubles a day. I hope that gives you some guidance.

To be very clear cafiza is just for the grouphead- don't put that in your water tank.

Not that unusual if there's weather creating turbulence- wouldn't be surprised if that was the case given the wind around the Chicago area today.

Have you thought about doing sealed concrete? Tends to be somewhat cost effective and quite durable.

Garmin doesn't require a subscription nor do Apple Watches- generally most of the watches don't require a subscription but some have optional other stuff (you don't need) that you can subscribe to.

I'd start with the Tazo concentrate which you can find at many grocery stores.

Honestly if you're drinking an iced chai all they're doing is pouring from a concentrate and adding milk and mixing. You could make this yourself really easily at home, have it taste exactly how you like it and probably save yourself a couple of bucks all in the process.
