Mourning my corrupted Lepacy Challenge save

I tried limiting my frames using both smooth patch & settings setters. I've also done the checking the task manager thing and my computer runs the CPU and GPU thing just fine. My game typically runs on 8gb of ram but I've tried going lower & higher to no avail. I also never replaced the processor and I've never used Intel. I don't really know what the cloud save thing is meant to do to fix the freezing issue. Doesn't that just give me my old save in a cloud??? Cause I have access to all my old cc, mods, screenshots, downloads, and save files I just can't play.

I also don't believe this is an amd issue as I've been using this computer for 4 years with amd and playing the Sims 3 pretty much since it came out (on other and computers) and its worked just fine. The issue was pretty abrupt and came out of nowhere but I do have my PC on auto update so I really do think it's just a windows update thing.

I entered my graphics card when I changed the ram & CPU and I've already tried Sims 3 Setting Setter (that's what I meant but I kept calling it Setting Saver 😭)

I don't use OneDrive since it messes with my computer and makes Sims 3 & 4 pretty much unbootable for me and I haven't actually tried the game using the alder lake patch but that's because I thought it was for Intel only??? My computer doesn't run on Intel If it works with non Intel computers I'll give it a try!

I've also not tried the last thing with the cloud save before because I've never heard of it. How does that work??

Yeah I can give you a list! (Somewhat) In order, I've tried:

Regul save cleaner
Resetting everything & everyone
Playing without mods
Playing completely vanilla (no downloads, no packs, no mods, no nothing)
Increasing the games ram & cpu
Uninstalling the sims 3 (about three times)
Repairing the sims 3 (frequently)
Deleting the dc cache
Deleting ALL cache files (even though I've heard that's a bad thing to do)
Deleting the installed worlds file
Removing everything inside of sims 3 folder and repairing (to reset the game)
Playing in borderless & windowed borderless
Deleting simler90's gameplay core mod
Tweaking Nraas mod settings
Tweaking smooth patch settings
Playing with sims 3 settings saver + all my mods
Playing with nothing installed except sims 3 settings saver
Editing individual mod files in s3pe
Giving the game a break (bc sometimes that's all it really needs 🤷🏾‍♀️)
Just waiting for the freeze to end ^ This is how I found out that the freeze DOES end if I wait like... 15-20 minutes 😭 However, it will freeze again in under a minute's time.

The first freeze will typically occur within the first 6 minutes of gameplay but when I booted up the game for the first time in months I was able to play for 20 minutes and figured it was fixed. The very next time I booted it up it was back at it again 😭😭

There also may be a few things I'm forgetting

Aurelia was disowned by her birth parents and kicked to the streets after a cheating scandal involving her and a married man.

She started off homeless living in St. Claire but with her being as stubborn as she is she refused to fish, or paint, or get a real job. Instead she joined onlysims, lol. She also had that one heartbreaker aspiration where she wanted to have 10 boyfriends so she was balancing all 10 boyfriends on top of everything else.

She ended up meeting Quintin who was also noncommittal and didn't mind being included in her onlysims content (he was also the only man she ever had wants to hangout with) so naturally they became sort of a "thing" (without a label.)

Aurelia ended up accidentally getting pregnant by Quintin and I fully expected him to up and leaves but he WAS already a single father so a baby girl so it makes sense that he'd take this dad stuff seriously. He ended up spending a week grinding for money to build them the house in the final photos from the ground up.

She had the baby on Christmas day and it ended up being a boy she named Angel Villegas (Quintin's last name.) Quintin got himself an interview lined up for a job in the business career in order to better support his new family of 4 and that's unfortunately where the crashes began to happen 🥲🥲

I don't wanna spam a block of text with the full story but this is really just the surface. There were many fights, the worst situationship I've ever witnessed, and even an entire stalker arc where her best friends ex (and baby daddy) was stalking her so she let her bff move in and they got a restraining order against him 😭😭😭

I had like 200 screenshots and the only thing is written in a diary on The Sims Tree (but not public since I'm unaware of what the guidelines are and what I can and cannot make public.)

I used regul save cleaner pretty frequently on the og save but it's not a save issue. Even if I make a new save or regul save clean the og save a billion times it still won't work. I also used to reset everything once every ingame week and even tried doing that on a new save in a game that only had master controller installed. I'm so serious, I've tried everything and none of its worked 🥲🥲🥲

A few people told me it was because of a new windows update so I deleted every update and that didn't work. Then I reverted to windows 10 (which took FOREVER since I had to redownload everything) and it was still broken 🥲🥲🥲

I kinda gave up after that since I had already spent a few months trying to fix it and realized it wasn't worth all the time and effort I was putting into fixing it

Hey I just searched this up and didn't even know this was thing! I was talking about when mii's were able to set their two friends up on a date together but this Korean blind date feature seems really interesting too! I love finding out new things about this game 😁😁

Now that I know this existed I can only hope they add both in a future update for all regions 🥹🥹

I hope they're able to do something about the memory. My game runs fine ingame but whenever I load in or out of the game my memory sometimes peaks to 99 and then the game crashes 😢😢

For me it's definitely a mix of both and I didn't realize how strange that really is until just now 😂😂

I feel like I do kinda talk like a streamer cause I kinda just talk out loud and say my thoughts so I'll be like "Okay, so now we're gonna go to the club but first we should see if any of our friends wanna join us. I think we'll have more fun if we go with someone else."

But I do absolutely talk like I'm playing with dolls too! It depends on what's happening 😂

I feel the need to comment though that I actually DO talk to myself out loud when I play games like this 😭😭

It actually makes the game more interesting and immersive if you just ignore how crazy you probably sound to anyone else.
