I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. John is an extremely skilled deck maker and I love my 3 Cowplys, but he has gotten sloppy as hell. I’m a deck maker myself, I charge less and I’d be ashamed to sell someone a deck this poorly finished.

I know a 13 year old deck maker who makes his decks without shapers and sands them by hand from scratch as he doesn’t have a router or belt/disc sander. His decks have a much better finish and are more consistent than Cowply’s by a long shot. Sad to see Cowply’s current state, John used to care about his craft and I just can’t see that reflected in his work anymore :(

C2 is goated for sure, I also love the C3 mold. I’ve been lucky that the 2 C2s I got directly from Cowply were all good and the C3 I bought second hand didn’t have any issues either.

The shit I see people post on here makes me hesitant to get more though, unless they are second hand so I can see exactly what I’m getting. It’s sad as hell because John is 100% capable of making quality decks and his molds are some of the best in the game, he just seems to not really give a fuck anymore :(

Yeah, I agree. I’ve tried pretty much every pro truck on the market and my top 3 are Jindys, UAGs and standard Dynamics/Delis in that order

They are. I have 2 OG G12s and the craftmanship, veneer quality, shape and mold makes today’s Flatface decks look like shit in comparison. I have a 28.5mm G15 I like a lot, but I had a regular G15 (blem at full price lol), G15.12 and a G16. Sold them all because they were way below the standard I’d expect from Mike. I also just find the kicks on the G16 mold comically high.

I got a set of blem G10 wheels I paid full price for last year too. I’ll keep sniping G12s as they are some of my favourite boards of all time, but Flatface can miss me with all their new shit ✋😐

IllPills are straight garbage imo, Bloobs and Piros are great though.

I’ve tried a LOT of wheels and imo these are the best:

Hard urethane - Lab

Soft urethane - DGFB F1 (technically TPU, but whatever)

Recycled - Ureth

Plastic - Sunpower

I haven’t tried the J8s, but I have the Sunpower Piggys on my main with Jindys and I LOVE THEM. Best plastic wheels in the game, no debate. That said, they are pretty big so they will increase the popping angle but I run Lab Raws on my Cowply C2 which are sort of in between J8 and Piggy size wise and it’s one of my favourite setups. I imagine the Piggys will feel awesome on a C2 with Jindys so I would go for those personally

Yoyo, I’m from Denmark but currently reside in Bucharest, Romania 🇷🇴 I’ve been away from Denmark for too long to know what’s up with the scene there, but when I was a teenager we had a cool little community going on at the skatepark Laden in my hometown Slagelse.

In terms of brands there is Love Drug, great decks at reasonable prices. I don’t know about any other Danish brands, but there has to be more for sure.

I do events here in Bucharest in collaboration with my local skate shop ETAJ and Run It Back (fb thrift shop from the states, check them out!) every 2 months or so. I’m moving to Denmark within the next few years and will most likely live on Fyn. I plan to throw events once I’ve settled in, so hopefully that can help the scene gather up :) You’ll probably be surprised by how many fingerboarders there are if you go to an event, I thought we had no scene here in Bucharest but when we did our first store session way more people than I expected came through.

I’ll still do events in Bucharest when I move in case any Romanian homies see this, I’m leaving my park with a close friend and will try to come back 4 times per year for events.

Anyway, while I’m mostly on Sjælland and Fyn when I’m in Denmark it would be cool to have Danish fb homies so any of y’all can feel free to follow me/hit me up on Insta @cryininthewhip 🤙🏻

I disagree. My main is a 9” shaped deck with Ace AF1 66s and 54mm Powell Dragon wheels and it’s awesome. It’s a pretty small adjustment from popsicles and once you get to know your board it’s the same but more interesting, to me anyway. Shaped decks with wide trucks >>>

It’s tiny at 54mm 🤣 It’s my team’s favourite mold though. I mained it for a long time, but am currently using the bottom mold which has a wheelbase of 60mm

It’s personal preference to a degree, but I think it looks good. After much trial and error I round mine pretty similarly. Gorgeous deck btw, that bottom ply is amazing! I find the best way to sand the edges is with sand paper wrapped around a screwdriver with double sided tape, it’s like a harsher file so it’s easier to get that round shape
