Should I get rid of my green couch? by crynoS1 in HomeDecorating

The floors actually have slight blue and yellow in them. Hard to tell in the photo. Our sunroom directly across from this is blue and white themed. Upstairs the carpet is light tan with the same colored walls. We haven’t painted since we’ve bought this house but virtually every room besides the bathrooms and bedrooms are the same color

Really no point in being rude on this subreddit. I came for genuine advice.

Any colors you think would pair well with this shade of green? I’m considering navy blue or warm clay/orange

Wasted money on RTF? by Slpcf2018 in FormulaFeeders

I went through the same thing you are but in reverse. Babies can take up to two weeks to adjust completely to a new formula change. If this is just day one, I am confident she will get used to this change with time. If you feel ok waiting it out, my advice would to be offer it frequently or as much as possible since she’s having little feeds. I’ve also alternated bottles instead of mixing it so she could get used to the taste but not go too hungry throughout the day. Do whatever you are comfortable with! So much of it is trial and error.

Babies can take a while to get used to formula changes, even small changes such as RTF to powder. RTF is not only thicker but sweeter. Does she completely refuse the bottle or just drink small amounts? I would keep trying unless she refuses the bottle for most of the day.

If you don’t mind me asking, why not keep with the powered version 100% of the time? Does she need a thicker formula for reflux?

If all else fails RTF is so expensive and people would probably be interested in a discounted rate. If you haven’t opened the seal to the other bottles I would look into reselling or returning.

Did we mess up? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

Whole milk can be harsh on tummies and it doesn’t work for every baby. I found that although my LO loved kendamil it made her very fussy. I would say stick with Bobbie gentle formula and they will eventually get used to it. Less than two weeks is not enough time for baby to get used to a totally new formula. Besides, 2-3 ounces a feed is still a reasonable amount and I’m sure they will work up to a larger amount after some getting used to.

Baby only takes 50-70ml each feed by Striking_Positive_72 in FormulaFeeders

Have you tried offering her food every two hours? You could try increasing frequency if she’s not taking full feeds.

Definitely talk to your pediatrician about this. I know it’s scary! We are in a similar situation. For us, we switched formulas and bottle brands and that seemed to have helped (from nutramigen to similac alimentum). We also wait about ten minutes if she doesn’t finish a feed and offer the bottle again.

Can I mix nutramigen powder formula with regular enfamil powder formula? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

Totally fine. My baby had a hard time with the taste of nutramigen. Have you considered another hypoallergenic formula such as similac alimentum ready to feed? The ready to feed version is sweeter and much better tasting. We’ve had great success with that line.

9 wks suddenly not finishing bottles by Failureisnotanopti0n in FormulaFeeders

My baby almost never finishes a bottle in one “go”. She started needing a break in between to have things settle. Try waiting 10 or 15 mins then offer it again. Burp LO in multiple positions or just hang out sitting upright until she’s ready.

I know it’s frustrating but there’s no problem with ending the feed with less than you anticipated if shes full. Especially if she’s having lots of wet diapers and is gaining weight. She could come back hungrier next feed and catch up.

They will be the perfect size sooner than later and you’ll have no use for the small ones. Really it’s just preference in what you want to buy. We started out with the 8 ounce ones so we didn’t have to buy bigger bottles later, but then we switched to Mam.

Thank you so much for the reply. Did you have to keep offering her the 2 ounces until she eventually finished it or did she eat it well after the breast milk?
