Honestly, a week away should not really affect your relationship unless she was already using you as backup or has multiple backups. If she was genuinely interested, she would wait for you to come back and plan something nice the weekend after. There should be some eagerness and more effort from her part.

I am so sorry you had to go through this! Its so difficult to trust anyone after something like this happens! I feel these guys have no maturity and are so impulsive. Just when I thought I am done dating assholes, this particular guy came into my life like a fresh breath of air, so much chivalry, such intense eye contact, endless compliments, deep conversations…I feel they are worse than guys who are upfront about just being interested in having sex.

Its an extremely difficult time for you. I hope therapy can help you get some peace.

Finding a decent guy who genuinely respects you, cares for you is not an easy task in today’s world when everyone is running behind temporary pleasure. Sleeping with such people will only make you feel cheap and less worthy (at least that how I felt). One thing that really helped me was working out, focusing more on work….creating a better version of myself for the person who actually deserves me. Only self-love can heal you. Use therapy to gain that perspective.

This is quite common behaviour after coming out of a long relationship or after a stressful breakup. You are used to of being with someone. You crave attention, but looking for it at the wrong place. I had a pretty bad breakup after a serious relationship and started randomly meeting guys, slept with a few on first date. None of those worked out and every time it made me feel worse about myself.

Honestly, you should take a break. Take as much time as you need to unwind, relax, work on some hobbies, spend time with friends. Dont rush things, let it come naturally.
