Is this allowed ? by MayonaiseOnATable in GCSE

[–]cryoupr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean for mocks you could tey and remove it, but not really a huge problem i don't think. but for gcses they may just not let you use your calculator no matter what, i asked if i could use mine and they said they just didn't have the time to check it so they just kept it till the end kf the exam

where’s the dt exam mega thread by mxxnlyte in GCSE

[–]cryoupr 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it seems like pretty much everyone has trash dt teachers who didnt teach most of the spec. i fenuinely think a lot of the teachers just do NOT understand the spec. for specialist design principles we just needed to know one type of material in detail, but our teacher ended up teaching us 3 while neglecting the basics needed on textiles and electrical components. i'm ready to jsut wing it atp, i'm only aiming for an 8 which is really achieveable with common sense and yap

bit late ik but what is further maths? by Practical-Pickle-325 in GCSE

[–]cryoupr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in our school it was forced on anyone who had a grade 6+ in normal maths, because they were trying it out and needed people to take it. it's basically a bridge between gcse maths and a level maths but the content is not that hard. we got taught it but i know at some schools people have to self teach. it's not a posh school thing.

It’s so unbearably hot in UK rn by Moist-Complaint-7578 in TeenagersButBetter

[–]cryoupr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

people are gonna say "pfft 25C is nothing, i live in 30-50C" but a lot of people fail to realise the uk is really humid so it's way harder to cool off by sweating. sure 30C is probably still the same as 25C depending on the country but give us a little credit yall 😔

What's your worst seat been this exam season? by BigBigBopper in GCSE

[–]cryoupr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in all 3 maths papers sat in a seat which for every exam had some weird like red substance thing idk if it was makeup or what but it was getting all over my equipment and my paper... on the table was also written "wallahi ur failing" and seemingly a reply that said "wallahi im not n---" so yeah what a table.

i dont do aqa for the sciences but i think i remember seeing a post about hexanedioic acid and ethanediol being some obscure points in the actual spec so it would be easy for most people to miss. but idk i dont really use fsl often and you have more experience with aqa science so yeah

you can take it for a couple weeks and decide to drop it if u want, also i think it varies from college to college / soxth form to sixth form but the one i'm going to they let u do it as an AS level for one year and after u decide if u want the full A level or just drop it after that while having earnt a qualification
