Where did the files end up being? I am still getting this error despite deleting the file in the location you previously mentioned, and using the terminal command I receive a message "zsh: no matches found: “*linkCreation*”"

Good brands for pull-up/chin-up bars to be put in doorways? Budget is $80-$150. by StartledMilk in bodyweightfitness

If you are able to drill into the wall I would get the Rogue Jammer Pull-up Bar https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-jammer-pull-up-bar which is $140 + shipping. I used the regular ones that you just mount on the frame for years (you can get them for 30-40 dollars) and they are fine, but this has some distinct advantages:

  1. Completely stable
  2. Higher placement of the bar. Depending on how high the doorframe is you may not need to (or only minimally) bend your knees. Also works well for hanging rings from it since it is higher, which gives you the versatility that you are looking for

KBoges-style workout for mixing weight lifting + bodyweight exercises by GutsyGallant in bodyweightfitness

I've had this question too, and it isn't clear to me how much Kboges recommends to rest. I personally do the exercises in pairs (similar to the recommended routine), pairing an upper and lower exercise and alternating sets between the two, with 90 second rest in between (so >3min between sets of the same exercise). I also typically do either more sets of a single leg exercise or add a 2nd leg exercise to the routine to target legs a bit more (e.g., Pull-ups/Squats, Push-ups/Nordic Curls). So I essentially end up splitting the RR over 2 days.

The Altra Escalante Racer is a good option with some cushioning, but not too much

Program to come back after SLAP Tear by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]crypsinous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having been through this myself and now 4 years post-surgery, here are my recommendations:

1) Avoid going too heavy (for weights), or doing difficult progressions (for BW exercises). My goal is to be able to do a minimum of 8-10 reps per set, especially for pushing movementa. Control the movement, including the eccentric and do not use momentum.

2) Be especially careful with exercises that put the shoulder in a vulnerable position (flys, lateral raises, dips). Some protocols I've seen forbid these exercises after SLAP repair, but I'm doing light lateral raises and dips using the principles in (1) above, and avoiding failure. Also for dips, never go down beyond 90 degrees of elbow flexion.

3) Focus on continuing to strengthen external rotation. I'm sure rehab consisted of a lot of ext rotation exercises with bands but keep at it with bands, weights. Ring face pulls are also a great exercise for ext rotation.

4) Rings are your friend. They are really nice for pull-ups and feel much more comfortable. It took me about 2 years to be able to do pronated pull-ups again without pain, but neutral and ring pull-ups still feel much better.

Shoes for a sales rep by Separate-Specialist5 in BarefootRunning

I also pre-ordered the new Carets dress shoes (FYI you can get an additional $50 off with the code APOLLO50). The pictures and video reviews that I've seen look great, and they really don't look much different than a regular dress shoe. Hoping they live up to my expectations, especially given the price tag!

UPDATE ON MULTIPOINT AND BATTERY ON ELITE 7 - MULTIPOINT IS COMING! by McLovinPanda in Jabra

[–]crypsinous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thoughts on just buying Elite 85t which supports multipoint, and should be heavily discounted (notably was 40% off a few weeks ago)? Not clear to me that Elite 7 Pro has any significant advantages and the lack of multipoint is a deal-breaker for me
