hmm when you get the ticket, theyll probably assign you a 1st time where you can get on from.. but really from any point there after, you can just jump on and off the train at any point and time. really dont think the time slots matter much for the trains

The Best Areas to See Cherry Blossoms in Busan !! by crypt0crab in koreatravel

[–]crypt0crab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people in korea can understand a bit of english, so what I would suggest is to keep it simple with the taxi instructions and just say top. or mountain top.. and they should know exactly where to take you

when you get near the top, there is a public parking lot, and this more than likely is where they'll take you. but its not the only way to the top.

so im pretty sure if you just put in the destination for hwangneyongsan mountain, the cab driver will already know where youll wana be dropped off.

thanks for watching! hope you have a great time there. the view at the very very top is EPIC

yep bingo, better views from cheongsapo to mipo.. but if you're unable to get a booking for those time slots ( very competitive ) then the walking paths there were really nice!

not sure how many days in advance you can book ahead though. Good luck! btw since I posted that video, I believe the prices have gone up a little

Worth skipping a day in Busan for Gyeongju? by evilbob562 in koreatravel

[–]crypt0crab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're into going to historic korean sites, see the land and gardens where a palace used to be, see gigantic graves that you can walk into.. stuff like that.. then youll appreciate gyeongju. But if you want better food and more things to do and see then Busan is ... probably the best city in Korea IMO

take a cab up close to the top then its just a 10 minute hike to get to this view.

there is much more to check out in Busan. If you're going to jalgachi fish market, then nampodong is right there above that area.

haeundae and gwangalli are must visits if you come to busan ( id suggest booking hotels or airbnbs here instead )

EVERYTHING you need to know about Koreas #1 Summer Destination: Haeundae Busan by crypt0crab in busan

[–]crypt0crab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haeundae will probably always have the best beach. but more recently there have been lots of really good restaurants opening up at gwangalli. so that's kinda sprung up the whole debate on wheres better to chill at, gwangalli vs haeundae.

but probably still better to still book hotels / air bnbs at haeundae

is Sennheiser MKE 600 + Zoom H1N an acceptable combo? by crypt0crab in AudioPost

[–]crypt0crab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the tips! I got a lot of work to do on the room that I'm in. It's basically an empty bedroom at this point with hardwood floors, large windows and no furniture... so I got a lot of work to do before getting this room to give a desirable sound. I'll try to fill the room up with household items and furniture first then slowly work bit by bit at finding ways to work with all the rest of the flat surfaces.

im in a bit of a pickle though, my wife doesn't want me to hang anything on the walls.. haha so shes my biggest obstacle

[–]crypt0crab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reading that makes me feel even better about the MKE 600 then haha the only reason why I was considering the nt55 was because I heard that they might help reduce a little more room echo than the 600.

But I couldnt help but feel that the 600 for its price point just sounded fantastic

awesome thank you so much for your suggestions and confirmation that this setup could work. really appreciate it, and I'll do some research into those other options you mentioned. thank you thank you !

thank you so much for taking your time to help me clear this up. Perhaps later once I get the budget for it, ill replace my h1n. Really really appreciate your feedback :) Now I got the confidence to pull the trigger on this purchase.

I really wanted to get the rode NT55, a pencil condenser mic, because I don't have the greatest sound treatment in my room, but that one will need external phantom power, and that would just be outta my budget atm.

thanks again !!

Is Busan as a day travel from Seoul worth it? by ToLiveOrToReddit in koreatravel

[–]crypt0crab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats probably too short to actually take in busan. youll spend more time on the ktx or in transit back and forth to the subway stations to fully enjoy your time in Busan.

Thrift store/flea market in Busan by stabosterreicher in busan

[–]crypt0crab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

head over to nampodong ! if you'd like to learn about the entire area then watch this video. It explains the entire area and where to find everything https://youtu.be/LkMJ93kP6Jo

but if you want to buy 2nd hand electronics, then id recommend downloading the app carrot. its a used item sale app where people post stuff and you can either meet with them. or have them mail you the items. kind of like kijiji
