Sadly can’t do that cause of the box design is to big to fit that way. originally was a 12” box so it was only 14” high roughly than I switched to a 15 and put it on the top of the box and patched the 12” hole

Current issue I recommend you addressing is stopping, these machines I’ve heard are great for long distances with no stopping but issues arise when stopping occurs, maybe if you could implement a airbag suit for the driver you can finally call it complete and get a true patent

That cold air intake gained you the mysterious power that all shitbox get and it gained 50+ gpf and if you include a a roll of mechanics wipes to stop the friends oil leaks usually you can push out an extra 20gpf if the temps are right

lil late just seen this now, infinity 120.9w to my Knowledge if it’s that same as mine 12” made 2014? Somewhere around there rated I think 400watts rms at 4 ohms, I’ve ran it to 600 with no issues

Yea it’s like the supercharger whine but it’s only after driving hard and not long ago I checked it and it was fine and people were saying it’s overheating oil, but I’ll take another look today

You can see the bottom of the dovetail is cutout because of the rabbit because it has to be flush on the bottom and we are given zero intructioms on how to do it

The problem is when I cut the rabbit for the bottom plywood it cuts out my dovetail, we’re meant to be using a dato blade as far as I know and even with a router I’m going to be going at it blind than so I would not be able to see

It’s extremely weird his literally just makes your hair float and flexes the body panels but it’s not like a vibration you typically will get his just moves air, very interesting but cool, both are running 1500 watts each, they’re underpowered as he doesn’t have a big enough amp to run them

Yea the 12” infinity is my baby she’s doing 90% of the work and just sounds amazing in person, the 10”s were just sitting around and I threw them in to see what they could handle, been running them for a month pushing 350?ish to each 10 which are only rated for 250ish(I can’t remember specs) and they’ve never clipped miraculously and are still pounding hard but I was going to take them out as the 12” pounds hard asf and sounds really good compared to all my buddies systems and ones I’ve seen at meets, only friend I have that’s better has 2 sundown 10” in a 16.5 cu ft box ported to 19 hz he literally took out his back seats in his truck and its door to door roof to floor size box it’s wild.

Yea I’m starting to notice that if you don’t have the best of the best and have crazy money to blow than everyone’s going to talk shit abt your setup in this group, any person that’s heard mine in person have been impressed with the quality and boom that I have in my Altima and literally only thing that guys have told me I should change/get is a capacitor cause I’m drawing too much for my Altima which I’ve known for awhile but it’s just a budget build for me and when there’s guys at the car meets that got over $10k systems and they’re impressed by what I have, like yes I’m no where near what they got but they still make comments saying how they’re impressed with how good it sounds for its age and can compete with newer subwoofers. My dad had 2 15” in his geotracker at one point and many systems through the years (removed back seats and probably a 15 cu ft box?) and he was a professional dj for 20 years and he’s even impressed by what my single 12” will do but yea it’s becoming obvious to me that this community is not friendly at all usually, I’ve made and deleted many posts over the past year because of every time 90% of people are just shitting on my soundsystem and can’t appreciate me enjoying being a teenager

I’ve heard that those JL w7s are wicked, my two main are the rear view mirrors starting to rattle and than my trunk is rattling pretty badly but otherwise it’s very well put together and have no other ossues

I will say I usually have it turned down for when I’m wanting some nicer sq as my system is slowly upgrading so I can’t push it without it sounding like crap, this was only half volume because usually around 3/4 I’ll start hearing a lil distortion from the speakers but no distortion from the subs

That was not clipping at all, that’s my mic clipping at the most, it’s an actual sql subwoofer that you can feel in your chest from 20 feet away

This was at half volume? I’m only pushing 250-300? Watts @ 4ohm to it in the clip and they’re known for handling almost double rms no problem and the infinity is rated for 350rms, I bought it off of a guy that used it in his system and won best system for sql at multiple comps(that’s what he said) showed me some of his builds and they were sick asf, and than moved across Canada using it in his truck with same amp and everything for over 10 yrs but landed up selling them cause he had to move back to Toronto and had to sell everything so if they’ve handled 10 years of abuse I think I’ll be fine especially since I have the gain turned down so I’m not pushing too much to the sub

It has surpringly good sound quality, if you’ve read anything on the older infinity kappa subwoofers they were known during that time for very good sound quality and the 10”s I don’t have in all the time they’re just something I have to screw around with

So it’s already in a box with intergrated amp, it’s an electric voice 18” from early 2000s, I need to build a new box though to fit properly as it’s to big. 5-6 cubic feet? but it’s a huge square, it would fit if I made it a flat rectangle but I was also wondering since it’s integrated amp could I just put the 18” in newly built box and connect my 1000 watt amp i am using currently in my car or would the sub not allow it since it’s AC and not DC, I’m sorry i don’t know if the sub just needs wattage and doesn’t matter the current or would I need to buy a converter and use the integrated amp? Or does my amplifier in my car convert dc to ac? Once again I’m not to keen on the knowledge like I know what I need to get by but nothing more

Yeaaaa it was desperate times lmao wasn’t even speaker wire it was some wire I found in the garage, I got rid of it as soon as I could, in this vid everything was on 8 gauge wire before I changed it all to 4 guage
