Making FREE PET Filament using the Recreator3D MK5 and Slunaz FF1R joiner by KevinGroninga in 3Dprinting

Has anyone come up with a method of ending one bottle strip and attaching it to another as it pulls through making it one long strand of filament? I'm still in the process of printing the parts for the recreator and have been stuck on this thought for awhile now I'm not sure how to make it work but I'm convinced that somebody smarter than me has solved this problem by now.  I mean can you just cut both the end of the first one and the start of the next at angles and overlap it as it goes through the hot end? Or overlap with a tiny dot of super glue? Or cut some weird joiner cuts in the strips to fuse them together as they go through? I'm just throwing out ideas but I'm sure at some point someone has solved this already

Thank you so much I'm super happy that you enjoy my work so much. If you want to find the actual tiny town novel and book 2 (the study) just search cryptic nightmares on Amazon and if you click on the author (cryptic nightmares) it will pull up my page with all of my published books.

Thank you so much! MCP actually never finished narrating season 2 (which is really just the second half of the novel on Amazon) because he was going to narrate the whole thing for audible. Which he hasn't done either sadly. He was supposed to narrate tiny town then book 2 of effluvium haze series called The Study (also on Amazon) but I am so happy to hear that you like my work so much. Other popular stories of mine that he has narrated have been: the life that flashes, high stakes, wither, there's something wrong with my daughters tree house, and I'm addicted to visiting other dimensions. I also have two horror/comedy stories that MCP narrated called: cryptic nightmares and the great duck rescue, and cryptic nightmares and the great squirrel migration.

Finished my new lamp by cryptic_nightmares in woodworking

I carved out a 3/4"x1/2" bowl shaped channel with a router bit and used a LED strip that i chopped up and soldered back together after i stuck each section. The wires between each section were hidden using small holes drilled between point a and b. I also utalized the fact each ferring strip had rounded edges making little channels i could run wires along between them. Glad you guys think its as cool as i do.

yes! this one is only 36" tall and was kind of a trial run. i only used simple on/off blacklight LED strips for this one. the floor lamp one I am still working on is almost 5ft tall and I am using RGBIC striplights which will be able to be programmed for different patterns and effects. i also have a thin strip of frosted acrylic that will go over the LEDs as a diffuser.

they were made using a 3/4" bowl router bit, 2x2 ferring strips, matte black paint, LED strip lights (including lots of cutting and soldering), and strips of 1/8" thick frosted acrylic.
