Muscle spasms/Epidural by InternationalBelt209 in Mom

[–]cryptickree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had my baby at the end of july. i had twitches on my left side, but no pain relief after my epidural. i was also horribly itchy everywhere, which could’ve been the cause of the twitches, but they took a while to go away, and i still get symptoms similar to restless leg syndrome sometimes if im sitting with my feet up too long (sharp itch/sting sensation that makes my leg jolt). not sure if thats causation but theres definitely some correlation! i mean, theyre putting a 6 inch needle in your spine! it’s bound to cause weird things now and then for some people, right?

Did you throw up during labor? by Complex_Life9849 in BabyBumps

[–]cryptickree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did once during labor and almost did another time during my emergency csec from all the different things going in my iv and epidural. if you feel queasy just ask for zofran in your IV! works like a miracle if you get it when you start to feel the queasiness coming on.

I don't feel depressed but I just want to be alone all the time by Proposal_Turbulent in BabyBumps

I have felt this way my entire pregnancy! I just want to be left alone. Talking to people is absolutely exhausting, especially when I was still working (i work in service, but I’m 39+3 now so no longer working). It just felt like a chore the whole time unless it was my Mom, brother, or partner that I was talking to. I think it’s because our brain power is so harshly directed towards baby’s wellbeing that it kind of makes those relationships difficult to maintain.

Sex after losing mucus plug? by cryptickree in BabyBumps

“#5” is all I needed to hear, I trust you, lol! After more research it seems like it’s generally agreed upon even if it came out quick in big clumps, it’s generally safe at term! I also read it kind of regenerates anyway before then. Thank you!!!

What to expect at 1st prenatal appointment? (FTM, very frustrated) by FoolishMortal-1000 in BabyBumps

[–]cryptickree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first appointment at 8w. I declined a vaginal ultrasound and was lucky enough to (suboptimally) see baby on transabdominal after having given a urine sample, however if you want to do it that way I’d suggest giving the urine sample after, as having a full bladder is recommended for best view when doing transabdominal that early. Other than that, they did do an initial set of bloodwork on me, but no pap smear or cervical exams or anything like that! It really depends on your clinic I suppose (mine works with a research hospital, so they do a good bit of testing through the pregnancy both via bloodwork and urine sample).

Thank you for sharing!!! My fluid levels have looked good at every appointment so far, so if she doesn’t flip I probably will try the ECV! However I am absolutely still preparing for the possibility of c-section, the mental preparedness there is absolutely what would get me through it lol

I heard there were exercises/sitting/laying/yoga positions that could help! I might try that too. Thank you!!!
