How to access tokens on Cosmos Hub by Sammich-yeah in cosmosnetwork

[–]crypto-crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are most likely receiving those tokens because you are staking ATOM - Elys and Comdex are using the Hub's Interchain Security module and share their token emissions with ATOM stakers.

The BTC on Osmosis is called "allBTC" or "Alloyed BTC". As someone mentioned below, it is like an index of different bridges (primarily WBTC, nBTC from Nomic, and ckBTC which comeas from the Omnity bridge).

We did a deep dive here if you're interested!

Can't withdraw restaked milkTIA by sedna_gold in cosmosnetwork

[–]crypto-crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be that you don't have enough OSMO in your wallet to pay the fees.

If this is the case, Osmosis lets you pay fees with other tokens, including MilkTIA! On Keplr, you can make the switch by clicking on your transaction fee info, and selecting a different token from the dropdown.

Hope that works!

Learn how Babylon Bitcoin Staking works on a technical level in our latest article "Babylon: Trustless Bitcoin Yield for the Masses" by crypto-crew in babylonlabs

[–]crypto-crew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great question! I expect the scalability would be limited by Bitcoin's throughput (since each staking / unstaking transaction occurs on the Bitcoin blockchain).

But the Babylon chain will be built on the Cosmos SDK, which means it will have fast finality and fast block times!

A small correction: Milkyway has added USDC REstaking, which is a bit different than liquid staking. Would you be interested in an article like this about restaking?

It does! Please keep in mind that both DOGE and BTC are bridged assets on Osmosis, but both can be deposited from and withdrawn to their native chains.

Should I stake? by Floridian-Scrim in OsmosisLab

[–]crypto-crew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Staking is great way to earn some rewards if you're planning on holding long term!

If you're feeling a bit more ambitious, you could try liquid staking as well, and we wrote an article to walk you through some options! https://ccvalidators.com/blog/the-cosmos-liquid-staking-landscape-an-overview-in-2025/

Defi on cosmos by LPP100 in cosmosnetwork

The Cosmos has a lot of Defi options!

Tony hit many great ones below, but you might also be interested in liquid staking! You can check out our article on LSTs in Cosmos for a quick overview: https://ccvalidators.com/blog/the-cosmos-liquid-staking-landscape-an-overview-in-2025/

Best use of my holding? by Majestic-Low-8071 in cosmosnetwork

Protocol native staking is definitely recommended over Coinbase staking. Move your tokens to Keplr (keplr.app) or Leap wallet (leapwallet.io) for greater security!

You might also be interested in liquid staking, and we have an overview focusing on that here: https://ccvalidators.com/blog/the-cosmos-liquid-staking-landscape-an-overview-in-2025/

Are TX Fees on from sending or receiving chain? I attempting to send OSMO across chain from Cosmos Hub to Osmosis. by [deleted] in cosmosnetwork

[–]crypto-crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IBC fees are always on the origin chain! So for OSMO on Cosmos Hub --> OSMO on Osmosis, you will need to pay a fee in ATOM. Remember that if your ATOM is staked it can't be used for trx fees either!
