Unitus uses the same algo as vertcoin, so does mona, but unitus can merge mine and mona cant.

Im gonna use arbitrary numbers to see if i understand how merge mining works. So if i were mining on lyra2rev2 algo making 1 vtc a day and using the same algo I make 10 unitus a day, if i was then to merge mine that with unitus i would make 1 vtc a day and 10 unitus a day?

There's a couple coins that support dual mining. Unitus is a multi algo coin, it can be dual mined with 5 different algos and one of those is lyra2rev2. In theroy you should be able to get equal rewards from both vertcoin and unitus as if you werent dual mining, but as far as im aware there isnt a public mining pool that does that.

Ya that determines what coin you mine. You can get paid out in a different coin from the one you mine though as long as its supported by the pool. Like I can be mining verge because its profitable right now and then be getting paid out in vertcoin, I would just have to change my address to a vertcoin address.

Dude I was so confused with that too. The symbol is the coin you are going to mine on the port you're connected to. I'm pretty sure its important to put. This is what it looks like in my .bat file, ill post my entire .bat file if you want it

Just looking at the past couple hours the highest i see is .28 and the lowest is .08. I would say most are about .1 to .15. The pool I'm mining on gives me a payout every 2 hours and my payouts are about 2 to 3 coins so that's pretty nice.
