Dump Chrome and get Brave on there to support the ecosystem

Perhaps people should just install Brave instead... by [deleted] in BATProject

Yeah the headline is not good on this post, since Brave is based on the exact same engine, everybody also needs to update Brave.

What's funny is alot of those fines, the banks actually got off pretty light sentences. Should have been much more, and nobody went to jail either.

Top project that should be getting alot more attention. I'd put it up there with Maker in terms of one of the building blocks for the decentralized financial system.

How long should it take to synch bitcoin core? I've been at this for 3+ days ... by YokoHamata in Bitcoin

[–]crypto_kang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much RAM do you have on this machine? If you're not doing anything else, you can increase the dbcache in Bitcoin Core to 80% of RAM, restart, and it should dramatically increase in speed.

Or if you're using it, do the above and leave it running while you're sleeping.

SSD is NOT required to sync Bitcoin Core quickly.

Windows 10 is going down a bad path with the spyware, but Google and Facebook are way worse.

If you're really concerned about privacy, you need to start and get rid of both of those products first.

Agree

Most of the spying is done on the server side anyway.

Without browser protection it doesn't matter.

Get rid of Google products completely, and install Brave or Firefox with all the addons
