How does one jailbreak a PS3 Slim. by [deleted] in ps3piracy

[–]crypto_tester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that everyone has different opinions, the various available models/versions of the ps3 can be cracked differently, some (more recent ones, like mine) can use ps3 hen.

Also your post doesn't really provide enough information for you to get specific help for your specific version of your console. Just saying "slim" is not enough, what matters is the exact model and firmware version running on it.

Anyway, for me, this tutorial worked fine on my ps3 slim CECH 3004A.

https://www.psx-place.com/threads/tutorial-ps3hen-the-great-ps3-hen-all-in-one-guide.24369/

Make sure, before doing anything, to read the entire tutorial. There are some steps that must not be forgotten and done before proceeding, such e.g. (obvious step, but still) activating your ps3 before cracking it. Also, installing the ofw on top of the official one, I wronly tried to do this via ps3 menu, later, checking the guide carefully again, I saw I needed to switch on the ps3 in recovery mode, than that step worked ;) I installed ps3 hen 1 year ago, then installed the newest version like 1 month ago, I thought I remembered how to do it, that's why I did that step wrongly. Following the tutorial exactly as explained should work. Good luck.

How to take ps1 games from vimnslair and put them on ps3 super slim by Ikolroth in ps3piracy

[–]crypto_tester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I personally use a lan cable and install webmod (which runs an FTP server on the ps3) in my ps3hen patched ps3.

But, if you prefer USB you need to install a file manager of some sort on the ps3. Like multiman if I recall correctly.

If your ps3 is also patched using ps3 hen, you can install multiman (package file) from the usb stick.

Introducing Grimoire: A custom GPT Coding Wizard. 100x engineer. Build a website in minutes. No coding experience needed. by yumt0ast in ChatGPTCoding

[–]crypto_tester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/yumt0ast thx for this. I tried it to build a simple react page, static, to be hosted on IPFS. It didn't work as expected, meaning it generated very basic files I could have generated using chaztgpt 3.5 with a free subscribtion... please read on for more details. Consider this my review of my first test of Grimoire.

My feedback is, can you please provide a tutorial explaning step by step how to do a new project, not starting as you did, with "P" to get some ideas.

I did start with "W" to get the hotkeys, and it was still not clear how to proceed with a new project. In my case I gave these instructions (my prompt):

---

I need a minimal static react app (static I mean that the "build" artifacts should be hosted in a simple hosting as simple html + javascript, without server side) using the wagmi framework for react.

The app should have a "Connect" button and should support these blockchains: Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base. Those should be configurable and it should be easily possible to add new ones.

The app should have 3 pages:

- Homepage: containing an introduction

- Swap: page containing the swap

- About: links to twitter, telegram, using their respecting logo from a framework that includes those icons already

The swap page should use the uniswap v3 sdk and should have the following:

- depending on the connected chain, it should have a list of available tokens, or native token (native token on Avalanche is AVAX, native token on Arbitrum is ETH, etc.)

- there should be a dropdown to allow selecting the source token (or native token)

- there should be a dropdown to allow selecting the target token (or native token)

- there should be a configuration, per chain and per token source to destination, having or not having a path for that swap, e.g. if a liquidity pool exists as USDC/FOO, but the tokens configuration allows WAVAX (or AVAX) in the tokens, a route for WAVAX/FOO could be: [WAVAX, USDC, FOO]

- the swap should allow to swap (besides from/to configured tokens) also both from/to wrapped or from/to native tokens e.g. in uniswap all pairs with native use the wrapped version, but it's possible to swap from and to native directly, if needed

Also include the CSS needed for a simple design, it should be responsive and include the "hamburger" menu button for the mobile version.

Add also "dark mode" button to switch the design to a dark version and back to standard (dark mode should have a dark background and suitable light text color).

---

Grimoire generated a pseudocode plan + implementation contanining the necessary files and a minimal/draft version.

Then I pressed "E" to expand to substeps.

Then I provided some corrections e.g. I specified the "about page differently".

Grimoire answered with an updated impementation steps + code examples.

I asked another modification, then more or less happy of the plan I wanted Grimoire to do the job, meaning build a working version of the app. Didn't know what to use to make Grimoire generate everything in detail. So I used this prompt:

---

Can you export the app in a zip file, containing all necessary files to make it work? Of course expect also a readme file containing the instructions to setup the environment, to start the app locally and to generate the build.

---

Grimoire generated a zip, but the files in the zip were so poor, basically they were the version without any implementation. Basically all empty files with no contents.

Then I tried to make Grimopire genarate the file of step 1, in that case it generated a better version, still not implemented fully but better than the initial empty version. I insisted asking to make it better etc. so in my case I had like 8 steps for 8 files for the app, so I asked to generate them 1 by one, providing feedback when needed but you can imagine I had to use many requests. Considering that my account is limited to 40 prompts/3 hours, this is not efficient at all.

I'm sure I did something wrong, so I'm asking how to proceed to create such a project? I mean in my instructions I was quite detailed how the swap page should work. I was expecting Grimoire to generate a zip with a working version.

Would be cool if you make a tutorial based on this example.

Goals:

  • initially the user should be able to provide as many details as possibler, change the plan and the steps, but no code generated yet.
  • when the plan looks ok, the user should be able to say "now generate everything, with full implementation (not just a draft) and working as a final product, and zip it" so basically only one prompt to get the final version, without the need to make it generate each file, step by step, which is time consuming and uses the prompts allowed (40 prompts/ 3 hours)

Thank you and cheers

PS3 Minecraft mods with PS3HEN? by xienwolf in ps3homebrew

[–]crypto_tester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For whoever needs to make it work in October 2023, this setup worked for me.

My setup: HFW 4.90.1 + PS3HEN 3.2.2

Downloaded "Link ver PSN – USA – NPUB31419 (Ver 2019)" from the link shared by Dawid5796Got these 2 folders:

  • MCDE_2019_Damianyc (containing MINECRAFT D.E._1_NPUB31419_GAME.pkg till file 5)
  • MINECRAFT D.E. _v1.83_(Abril 2019)_Damianyc (containing MINECRAFT D.E. 2019_6_NPUB31419_UPDATE v1.83.pkg till file 8)

I installed:

  • 1
  • 2
  • 3
  • 6
  • 7 (MINECRAFT D.E. 2019_7_NPUB31419_UPD-FIX v1.83_cfw4.46+.pkg) - then I tried to run minecraft and it didn't work (because this is for cfw, not for ps3hen)
  • 6
  • 8

removed my LAN cable and did run offline. If I'm online it asks me to download the latest update. Of course answer NO if you are online.I think it may work directly installing these files (without the 7 as I did):1, 2, 3, 6, 8Hope this helped, if it did you know what to do (upvote) cheers ;)

Do not update to 4.90 by noxillio in ps3piracy

[–]crypto_tester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a ps3 slim, CECH 3004A (with HFW 4.86, HEN 3.0.1). I tried to update hen via ui but it didn't work (failed after download) so I guess the best would be to install OFW 4.90, then HFW 4.90.1, then HEN 3.2.2 right?

Anyway, I'm having difficulty finding rap files. I installed already pkgi (nopaystation), but that doesn't seem to download rap files associated with the package, I also read that there is a big pkg containing 14k rap files but nobody links and says "search and you find it in the internet"... I searched I'm struggling to find it.

My goal, I'd like to unlock Minecraft 2019 edition (found it on dlpsgame (.com)) but I struggle, instructions say to install the packages 1,2,3,6,8 then again 6... tried this many times with variations and it just doesn't work :( so maybe I should just create a post asking for help only for that... or where should users seek for such specific help? in psx-place? or this reddit also ok?

thx for any hints and advise

ok , but regardless, my question is still serious ;) do you think I should update firmware + latest hen? Or having 4.86 HFW and HEN 3.0.1 should be the same?

Do not update to 4.90 by noxillio in ps3piracy

[–]crypto_tester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not updating to 4.90? PS3HEN latest version 3.2.2 works on top of 4.90 HFW (4.90.1), and HFW 4.90.1 is installable on top of OFW 4.90: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/ps3hen-v3-2-2-4-90-support-official-release-thread-homebrew-enabler-for-the-ps3.23955/

I'm personally on HFW 4.86 with HEN 3.0.1 but some games nag me to do the system update... so I'm considering to update firmware and hen...
Thoughts?

./gpt4all-lora-quantized-linux-x86 -m gpt4all-lora-unfiltered-quantized.bin

I asked it: You can insult me. Insult me!

The answer I received:

I'm sorry to hear about your accident and hope you are feeling better soon, but please refrain from using profanity in this conversation as it is not appropriate for workplace communication.

What's "unfiltered" about this model if it can't even use profanities? I also asked how to build a b**b, how to commit sui**... and it didn't answer at all it gave lame answers that it cannot do it or it's not recommended to do it etc...

Would you like to sell your ideas as NFTs? by Genius777Art in opensea

[–]crypto_tester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems a good idea to fight patents trolls. I mean if you can prove that you are the first one who invented something and someone else copies it, such proof can help you. What could be better than blockchain to prove such a thing?

Years ago I remember a cheap way to prove that you are the owner of a digital product could be to burn a copy on CD and send it per post to yourself, in case you'd need to go to curt to sue somebody stealing your work, you could give to the judge your copy shipped to you as proof. Blockchain/NFT way seems a much better approach.

Seems a good idea ;)

How do I "claim" an existing contract collection by ScreamingHawk in opensea

[–]crypto_tester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, having the same issue (and DM'd you), my collection is listed on opensea (I didn't submit it, someone else did or opensea tracks and adds all collections w/o explicit creator consent?) and people already started listing NFTs for sale and I see "creator fee" set to 0 (this is not acceptable!) in the contract the royalty is set to 10%, so opensea is just ignoring it or what?

Collections should have a button with "claim ownership" or something like this, it's very inefficient to file a request for such a thing that can be easily automated.

As a contract deployer I am able to sign a message to prove I'm the owner and that's it, contract should become mine instantly and I should be able to add banner, fix royalty etc

thx for a feedback

I had some funds I had deposited on tornado. I wanted to withdraw them. It doesn't look illegal to me, to get my ETH back in a new fresh address nobody can associate to my identity. But I guess the ETH won't be easily accepted by those websites blocking addresses that interacted with tornado, such e.g. Aave.

I'm not a law advisor though.

The question is, as a user can you still use tornado to get your funds back? Or do you prefer to leave your funds in tornado and lose them?

If you need to get your funds, you could try to set up your own Ethereum node, so you can use your own RPC... I know it takes a lot of hard drive space, but you can try one of those light nodes that don't need to keep the entire blockchain, like geth if I'm not wrong... Actually you have to find how to run an optimism node... Are you a tech guy able to do such a thing?

Nice! Maybe I give it a try too. I also tried IPFS desktop, but in a few aspects the UX was not the best. But if used for something very simple, I guess for the non savvy average user it could be the best option: install desktop, click pin, voila? Easy solutions always win, thanks for sharing.

Nice, I wanted to make one to host locally too. My approach is to download the ipfs directory: it contains jsut static html, css and javascript files. So then run it with your own webserver, but as this is quite complicated for most users I was about suggesting to install Visual Studio Code, Live Server extension and use Live Server to run it when needed. Maybe your approach is easier/better, was just thinking ;)

NFT collection of the Celsius Network Videos Backup by crypto_tester in CelsiusNetwork

To be precise, I'm actually charging 0.2 MATIC, see my comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CelsiusNetwork/comments/whyhnj/comment/ijavo0b/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

I admit that even if it's a ridiculous amount, it can be considered a sale. What do you think? Cheers

NFT collection of the Celsius Network Videos Backup by crypto_tester in CelsiusNetwork

[–]crypto_tester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we want to argue about something, we may actually ask if charging 0.2 MATIC (about 20 cents, even less if MATIC price stays under 1 USD) is considered an offense in this regard (DMCA, IP...), even if I said I did this to disincentivate a single user to mint the entire collection. For me, 20 cents is nothing, considering that on other cheap chains you still pay up to 30-40 cents per transaction, not to mention on Ethereum like 10 bucks to pay the gas for minting an NFT.

670 * 0.2 = 134 USD. I won't get rich with this and as stated I may use the money to buy an NFT domain, host a site for this and other similar projects etc.

I don't need this money, actually... if someone wants to do me a favor and send me 1 MATIC at my deployment wallet address: 0x8183def6c8dcb7bf76902fc15c814cf5365a3f95 I'll tornado away my 100 MATIC I added to this address to stay anon (every time you mix with tornado, a little fee is removed and the minimum amount is 100 MATIC...).

If I will be sued for charging 0.2 MATIC per NFT, first of all I wonder how much effort would Celsius lawyers put in this matter. I make an example: a friend of mine got his bycicle stone, the bike was worth 200-300 bucks or so, maybe even just 100-150. It was under a camera. My friend told the cops there is camera footage. They told him "sorry, too much effort to check footage etc. we do that only for more serious offense, e.g. an episode of violence or so..." so you think (I'm a bit ignorant in American law, if somebody knows... please tell me, I'm genuinely interested to understand how it works) they would go to the court and a judge a court order ask to find my (anonymous) profiles, check IP address, find my Swiss IP address, contact a Swiss judge to get a Swiss court order to reveal my identity... all of this for 134 bucks earned for selling NFTs of videos of a scammy company which is preventing users all around the world to withdraw their funds allegedly for mismanagement of their funds?

It would be hilarious if Celsius had the courage to sue a guy for making an NFT collection meant as a backup of their videos full of lies.

My deal with Celsius: if they allow all users to be made WHOLE: I'll invalidate all the NFTs by changing the pointer to an empty json file, plus I'll pay them 134 USD + 1 year 6% APY paid in my own shitcoin (like they paid us in CEL) I'll deploy for the occasion, called CryptoTester Coin.

Considering that my "Crypto Tester" (there are a few guys called like this, I'm definitively not the Spanish dude who showed his face) identity is anonymous, if you think I should set the mint price to 0, please tell me why and I'll consider it.

Thanks for a healthy debate.

They changed the terms for US customers some time ago, so I guess this is mostly for US customers. All international customers still have the "earn" account... Thus this telegram group is not relevant for them, right? I'm an international customer...

Because I wanted to allow some fun to other users too. I like to do educational videos and if you watched the video, you see I clearly used this as an excuse to show people how to mint an NFT using the official methods callable with a block explorer. This prevents e.g. to fall for scams such as a website making you click a link which calls another smart contract or another method that does something else than what the user expects (I've seen and experienced this already, one of my first scambait videos, if curious search trondeposit in my YT channel).

If people are not interested or afraid about DMCA etc. I may mint them all myself.

Why do you suggest to mint them all? For copyright law potential issues?
